What is the Best Way to Eliminate Acid Reflux Symptoms?

You can eliminate acid reflux symptoms by cutting out one food item. If you have been suffering from acid reflux for some time, it’s likely you’ve developed a sense of some foods that worsen your pain. A new study published in the Journal of the Formosan Medical Association pinpoints how cutting out just one food item can drastically reduce, even eliminate heartburn.

Discover How, Five Minutes from NOW, Your Acid Reflux Can Be Totally Gone & You’ll Feel Great Night and Day

Eliminate Acid Reflux Symptoms - This Common Acid Reflux Drug Kills (New study)

A new study from the University of California at San Diego put two acid reflux medications head to head to see which led to more serious side effects.

And the results were horrifying!

While both were bad, the most commonly prescribed acid reflux drug increases your risk of kidney failure by a scary 3,550%.

And that was only the beginning.

Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) were considered to be the stronger of the two drugs tested.

It includes generic names like omeprazole, lansoprazole, dexlansoprazole, rabeprazole, pantoprazole, esomeprazole, and esomeprazole.

Histamine-2 receptor antagonists (H2 blockers) were considered to be weaker and include generic names, such as nizatidine, famotidine, cimetidine, and ranitidine.

For scientists, there are two sources where there was potential to search for potential side effects of drugs:

The first are the clinical trials, where people are given the drugs to try and in which all the side effects are recorded.

The second is the Adverse Effect Reporting System (FAERS), which is a collection of all the post-marketing information collected on a drug by the US Food and Drug Administration.

Since FAERS includes substantially more information that is collected from a markedly larger group of people who take drugs, and these also include a much longer than the subjects in clinical trials, the authors of the new study mined it for information.

They identified around 43,000 PPI-takers and compared them with 8,000 H2 blockers-takers in the database.

It turned out that while only 0.7 percent of h2 blocker consumers experienced adverse kidney conditions, 5.6 percent of PPI-takers did.

Compared with those who took h2 blockers, those who took PPIs were 35.5 times more likely to have end-stage renal disease, 28.4 times more likely to have chronic kidney disease, eight times more likely to have unspecified kidney impairment, and 4.3 times more likely to have acute kidney injury.

Acid reflux is no joking matter. It can directly cause six types of deadly diseases on its own, and the drugs used to treat it are even more dangerous. Here is how I beat my acid reflux (after it almost killed me)…

Eliminate Acid Reflux Symptoms - Acid Reflux Drug’s Deadly Side-Effects

Acid reflux (GERD) is often written off as a minor condition (although it’s actually very serious). And the drugs used to manage it have been considered quite safe.

But a new study published in the journal Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics reveals potentially deadly side effects with one of the most commonly used heartburn medications.

You must stop or reduce this drug right now if you’re taking it.

Proton pump inhibitors (hereafter PPIs) are among the most commonly taken drugs in the developed world, often to reduce acid reflux.

Researchers examined the medical data of 2,366 people who took PPIs and developed depression, and compared them with 9,464 people who took PPIs without developing depression.

The two groups were similar with regard to age, gender, and the amount of time for which the scientists observed them.

It turned out that those who developed depression used a higher dose of daily PPIs than those without depression.

This was especially true for people who took pantoprazole, lansoprazole, and rabeprazole, and less so for those who took omeprazole and esomeprazole.

And depression is not a small deal. The fatality rate of major depression is extremely high.

The researchers didn’t know exactly why this happened, but ventured two educated guesses.

1. They thought it was possible that PPIs prevented people’s bodies from absorbing all the nutrients from their food, leaving them without the necessary nutrients for healthy psychological function.

2. Alternatively, PPIs could disrupt the gut-brain axis, a term that refers to the way in which gut bacteria affects our psychological well-being. Since gut bacteria can boost or block levels of hormones and neurotransmitters in our brains, they can determine our psychological health.

This shows that it’s essential to use natural methods to cure acid reflux (GERD). Fortunately, this 5 min home remedy completely eliminated my long-lasting heartburn for good…

Eliminate Acid Reflux Symptoms - Acid Reflux Eliminated By Cutting Out One Food Item

If you have been suffering from acid reflux for some time, it’s likely you’ve developed a sense of some foods that worsen your pain.

A new study published in the Journal of the Formosan Medical Association pinpoints how cutting out just one food item can drastically reduce, even eliminate heartburn.

And you probably didn’t expect this item.

12 people with gastroesophageal reflux disease, an average age of 52 years, and a healthy body weight were given two liquid meals, one for lunch and one for dinner.

Meal A consisted of 500 milliliters of liquid containing 474.4 calories with 10.4 grams protein, 10.4 grams fat, and 84.8 grams carbohydrate.

Meal B also consisted of 500 milliliters of liquid but containing 850.4 calories with 10.4 grams protein, 10.4 grams fat, and 178.8 grams carbohydrate.

Three days before the study, they were given an endoscopy to examine their esophaguses and their esophageal sphincters (the valve that is meant to prevent reflux of stomach acid into your esophagus).

Throughout the study, they wore a pH probe with pH sensors connected to a digital recorder to test the level of acid in their esophaguses.

With all this information available, they could see that, compared with the lower-carbohydrate meal, the higher carbohydrate meal caused:

1. A longer total reflux time
2. More periods of constant reflux
3. More reflux periods longer than five minutes, and
4. More heartburn sensation and acid regurgitation.

Therefore, to relieve your symptoms, eat lower quantities of carbohydrates.

What is the Best Way to Cure Cholesterol and Heal Heart?

Common Spice Can Cure Cholesterol and Heal Heart -This powerful spice has been proven to lower cholesterol, improve blood pressure and inflammation, and even cure the common flu. But you need to use it in a specific way or it’s basically useless.

Cure Cholesterol and Heal Heart - Lowering Cholesterol INCREASES Stroke Risk 220%

According to a new study published in the journal Neurology, the myth about high cholesterol has probably murdered millions of people.

In fact, lowering your cholesterol to the recommended level of 100 mg/dL can increase your risk of having the most dangerous type of stroke by a frightening 220%.

The researchers mined data from the Women’s Health Study that included the records of 27,937 women aged 45 and up.

At the beginning of the study, these women had their total cholesterol, their LDL cholesterol, their HDL cholesterol, and their triglycerides (blood fats) measured.

The scientists observed them over an average of 19 years to see which of them suffered from a haemorrhagic stroke.

Strokes come in two forms: ischemic, which occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked by, for example, clogged blood vessels, and haemorrhagic, which happens when there is bleeding in the brain because of, for example, blood vessels that have burst or are weakened and leak.
A haemorrhagic stroke is much harder to treat than an ischemic one.

According to the National Stroke Association, while haemorrhagic strokes only constitute 13 percent of all strokes, they are responsible for 40 percent of stroke-related deaths.

When the researchers compared women with LDL cholesterol of 70 mg/dL or lower with those with an LDL level between 100 and 130 mg/dL, they found that members of the former group were 2.2 times more likely to have a haemorrhagic stroke than members of the latter group.

This was still true after they excluded people with other stroke risks, such as high blood pressure, old age, smoking, and so forth.

But it wasn’t only LDL cholesterol that was a risk, and it was found that low triglycerides were equally bad.

Those with the lowest fasting triglyceride levels (74 mg/dL or lower) were twice as likely to have a haemorrhagic stroke as those with the highest fasting levels (156 mg/dL or higher).

Total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol, often called good cholesterol, had no effect on stroke incidents.

This study is alarming because it shows that official cholesterol recommendations are just too low. It also shows the dangers of lowering cholesterol artificially through the use of statins and other cholesterol-lowering medications.

Common Spice Can Cure Cholesterol and Heal Heart

This powerful spice has been proven to lower cholesterol, improve blood pressure and inflammation, and even cure the common flu.

But you need to use it in a specific way or it’s basically useless.

A study published by PubMed showed that rats who get treated for 30 days with ginger extract had lower cholesterol levels as compared to the control groups.

Another study that utilized 85 patients of the Cardiac Disease Clinic, Babol, showed that those who received ginger lowered their cholesterol significantly more than a placebo group.

Ginger has also been proven to lower blood pressure, along with improve inflammation and almost all other markers of health.

What is the best way to use ginger?

Make your own tea from fresh ginger by slicing it thinly and let it steep in hot water. Optionally, add lemon and honey for taste and power.

Otherwise, you can also add fresh ginger to many meals. The root needs heat to release its healthy substances, so add it to your meal at the beginning of your cooking.

Unpeeled ginger can also be stored in your refrigerator for a long time, so it is easy to always have some of this delicious herb at hand at all times.

Furthermore, you can also use organic powdered ginger as an alternative or buy a ginger extract supplement in your local health food store.

But ginger is not the only thing that improves your cholesterol level.

Cure Cholesterol and Heal Heart - This Healthy Fat Causes Heart Attacks in the Elderly

For decades, we have been told to load up on this “healthy” fat (and avoid trans-fat and saturated fat).

And while this may be okay advice for people under the ages of 50, a new study published in the FASEB Journal has shown that if you’re older than that, you need to be very careful.

This is as this fat destroys your immune system and leads directly to stroke and heart attack.

The researchers split their mice into young and old categories, with the range being approximately two months versus 18 months old.

They gave all of them a high omega-6 vegetable oil diet and then triggered heart attacks or other heart-injuring events to see how their bodies would respond.

Examples of high omega-6 oils include sunflower and safflower oils, both oils that are frequently used for cooking.

As expected, the young mice had a tendency to survive these adverse heart events while the older ones often died.

And they investigated the mice, they found that the bacterial profiles in their intestines had changed completely.

Both the old and young mice had some factors in common:

Specifically, they developed a lot more bacteria from the phylum Firmicutes group, a type of bacteria that has previously been associated with obesity, diabetes, and system-wide inflammation.

On top of that, both groups experienced a huge increase in neutrophils, a type of white blood cell that is natively a part of the immune system.

That was the end of the similarities, however.

There is another type of white blood cell used by the immune system is called leukocytes, and the spleen is normally a rich reservoir of these leukocytes.

When our hearts are injured by heart attacks or other terrible heart events, our spleens release these leukocytes that then rush to our hearts to repair the tissue and manage the inflammation at the injury site.

While this is what happened to the young mice in this study, this mechanism did not work with the old mice.

The two types of white immune blood cells, neutrophils and leukocytes, thus need to be carefully balanced for our immune systems to work properly.

But in the case of the old mice, the increase in neutrophils caused by the high-fat diet completely overwhelmed the leukocytes, leaving the latter incapable of doing their job in repairing the heart.

They also found that the old mice had structural deformities in their spleens.

In other words, during the point in which the inflammation was increased by high fat intake, intestinal phylum Firmicutes, and heart injury, the spleens of the old mice were impaired and could not release enough leukocytes to resolve the inflammation.

Medical scientists call this a non-resolving inflammation and it is ultimately the cause of heart failure.

If this study applies to humans too, then it shows why old people should pay even more attention to eating less omega-6 vegetable oils than young people, as their bodies might simply not repair heart damage if it occurs.

What is the Best Way to Lower Blood Pressure Fast and Naturally?

Finding the best exercise to lower blood pressure fast and naturally might be a moving target. Especially when there are so many exercise plans hitting the consumer stream these days. According to a new study published by the American Heart Association, one type of exercise has been proven to be the most effective at lowering blood pressure, and it’s one of the easiest too.

Click HERE to Discover How You Can Maintain & Stabilize Your Blood Pressure Naturally

Lower Blood Pressure Fast and Naturally - 6 Serious Impacts of High Blood Pressure (#4 will surprise you)

High blood pressure has been identified by the World Health Organization as the deadliest but most preventable epidemic in all of history.

The results of untreated, long-term high blood pressure can be catastrophic, even if the elevation wasn’t very high or what would normally be considered to be a medical emergency.

Some effects are obvious (such as a stroke and heart attack), while others may have bothered you for years without you realizing it was high blood pressure that caused them.

Here are the six examples:

#1- Stroke/aneurism – high blood pressure weakens the arteries. Two things happen after that- either the vessel ruptures; causing blood to leak out into the brain as with a stroke, or the vessel herniates, bulging dangerously against brain tissue or even rupturing at a later point.

#2- Heart failure – The constant assault that hypertension does to the blood vessels damages the tissue they are supposed to feed. In the heart, these damaged or enlarged tissues would be catastrophic.

#3- Dementia Following the logic that everywhere your arteries lead to can be damaged if those arteries become weak and/or hardened, and thus limiting blood flow, it is easy to see how areas of the brain which cannot ever be repaired once damaged, can fall victim to cell death. A growing body of evidence has been showing that dementia- spectrum diseases are increasingly being linked to high blood pressure.

#4- Vision impairment – Even the tiniest of blood vessels, such as those that supply oxygen and nutrients to your eyes, will become damaged with the onset of high blood pressure. Every millimeter of the eye has a function in vision, and every millimeter depends upon a healthy blood flow. Studies are practically emerging every few months showing that many kinds of vision impairment can be found to be a result of hypertension.

#5- Erectile dysfunction Know what happens to the ‘man parts’ if the blood doesn’t flow effectively? They don’t work. Sure, there are drugs out there to help correct it temporarily, but they come with a litany of side effects – especially if you are already being treated for high blood pressure with other pharmaceuticals.

#6- Bone loss – Many people wouldn’t consider this to be a life-threatening condition. But with bone loss comes the very dangerous problem of getting a fracture. People expect seniors to be at risk of falls or fractures because they are more fragile.

But many folks in their 50s and 60s who are hypertensive also are at a dangerous risk of having a fracture due to bone loss. And that’s dangerous, since this age group is still largely in the workforce.

The time to get your blood pressure under control is now – it doesn’t have to be hard or dangerous, as often the case with pills.

Lower Blood Pressure Fast and Naturally - The Best Exercises for High Blood Pressure (and the easiest too)

Finding the best exercise for lowering blood pressure might be a moving target. Especially when there are so many exercise plans hitting the consumer stream these days.

According to a new study published by the American Heart Association, one type of exercise has been proven to be the most effective at lowering blood pressure, and it’s one of the easiest too.

A meta-analysis of more than 90 trials was published by the American Heart Association, with researchers vetting the most effective exercises available.

Their findings were in part predictable- such as the fact that ANY exercise is better than no exercise in lowering blood pressure, both for people with hypertension and even for those without.

But other findings were not as predictable. The three types of exercises that were compared were shown to have interesting results.

Researchers looked at the effects of isometric exertion, dynamic aerobic, and dynamic resistance training on blood pressure levels.

– Isometric exertion exercises involved exerting a force on a non-moving object. An example would be the gripping exercises typically done in therapies after a stroke.

– Aerobic exercises are those that get the heart rate elevated, such as running, biking or swimming.

– Resistance exercises are slower but more weight intense, such as weightlifting or pull-ups.

Researchers found with the latter two, as the intensity increased, the effectiveness of lowering blood pressure is also increased.

However, the isometric exertion exercises were actually the most effective in a holistic lowering of blood pressure across all ages and race groups, and for both genders.

It might seem counterintuitive that sitting in a chair squeezing something would be more effective at lowering blood pressure than pumping iron or swimming every day, but in reality, the study has reinforced what natural health professionals have been saying for years- relaxation and elimination of stress are the key to lowering your blood pressure.

The blood pressure exercises I discovered years ago has helped thousands of people to bring their blood pressure down to a healthy level, and these are based somewhat on the same philosophy as the isometric exertion exercises in the study.

Lower Blood Pressure Fast and Naturally - High Blood Pressure Misdiagnosed By The Wrong Measurement

A controversial new study looking at Mayo Clinic patients has been recently published, and it looked at what challenges most people – including doctors – in understanding when and how to have one’s blood pressure measured.

This could mean that millions of people have been unnecessarily put on dangerous blood pressure medications, when in fact their blood pressure was completely healthy.

Researchers at the Mayo Clinic looked at the medical histories of over 400 patients and found that having one’s blood pressure taken every time a patient sees the doctor could cause more damage than checking it once annually.

The reasons they cited included potential errors in over-diagnosis due to false positives, and that the staff was not following proper testing procedures and this thereby had the effects of “white coat syndrome.”

White coat syndrome happens when the blood pressure is temporarily elevated due to anxiety over simply having a doctor visit.

The researchers concluded that taking a patient’s blood pressure once per year (and then doing it properly) at the annual exam would eliminate the vast majority of false positives.

By extension, this would eliminate unnecessary follow-up tests or drug regiments.

Critics looking at the study results stated that the 7% error in finding actual hypertensive patients by screening only once annually was too big of an error margin and more frequent testing should be viewed as the safer route.

The battle underscores the need for frequent and properly conducted at-home screening. There is a growing body of evidence to suggest that home meters, when used at the recommended 3-times-per-day interval and in the proper way, are a much more accurate gauge in understanding how a patient is faring than measuring blood pressure in the stressful environment that is the doctor’s office.

The proper way includes making sure the person being tested is seated, has been at rest for at least 5 minutes prior to the test, and that the testing arm is supported. Both sides of the controversial study agree that this is not being done in the doctor’s office, which accounts for many of the errors.

Repeated studies have also revealed that natural methods are always the best to lower blood pressure.

Now the bigger question is: What to do if your blood pressure is actually too high?

What is the Best Way to Eliminate Acid Reflux?

Eliminate Acid Reflux by Avoiding These 7 Factors - A new study published in the Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care researched lifestyle factors that contributed to acid reflux. Eight factors that most people assumed would be the direct cause of acid reflux were actually found to have absolutely no effect. Seven other easily avoidable lifestyle factors, however, were found to be the case of the majority of acid reflux cases.

Eliminate Acid Reflux by Avoiding These 7 Factors

A new study published in the Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care researched lifestyle factors that contributed to acid reflux.

Eight factors that most people assumed would be the direct cause of acid reflux were actually found to have absolutely no effect.

Seven other easily avoidable lifestyle factors, however, were found to be the case of the majority of acid reflux cases.

The subjects for the study were 400 university students, with males comprising 56 percent of the group. They were given a gastroesophageal reflux disease questionnaire together with a questionnaire to record information like their sex, age, height, weight, habits, and typical diets.

An impressive 23.8 percent of them scored above the minimum score for acid reflux or GERD.

Male students were more likely than female students to suffer from acid reflux, and those with a family history of heartburn were more likely to have it.

Other causal factors were almost entirely under the student’s control.

These were:

1. smoking,
2. a high body-mass index that was above 25 kg/m2,
3. fast-food consumption,
4. tea consumption,
5. carbonated beverages consumption,
6. speedy eating,
7. sleeping within an hour after dinner.

Surprisingly, the consumption of coffee, fried foods, and spicy foods had no effect, and neither did inadequate sleep, between-meal snacking, the amount of physical exercise, breakfast skipping, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory use.

Now if avoiding these seven factors is not enough, then you can use this simple home remedy to eliminate acid reflux in just five minutes. It contains three ingredients you already have in your kitchen and just takes five minutes to make…

Eliminate Acid Reflux - This Diet Is a Better Acid Reflux Treatment Than PPIs

This Diet Is a Better Acid Reflux Treatment Than PPIs [Proton pump inhibitors] are the standard treatment for acid reflux, but they have been linked with an increased long-term risk of stomach cancer, among other health problems.

As a result, we are always on the lookout for a treatment that is both safe and an effective remedy for acid reflux.

A new study published in the journal JAMA Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery may finally reveal the key to healing acid reflux.

And it comes in a form of a very healthy, popular diet, now proven more effective than proton pump inhibitors.

In the study, researchers examined medical records of people previously treated for acid reflux.

85 people with this condition were treated with PPIs and were given basic advice to avoid coffee, alcohol, chocolate, fatty foods, and spicy foods.

99 people were treated with the Mediterranean diet and alkaline water, combined with a similar list of foods and beverages to avoid.

The alkaline water had a pH above 8.0 and the Mediterranean diet was 90% plant-based.

All participants completed the standard Reflux Symptom Index before the treatment and six weeks after it started. A reduction of six or more points on the index means that the participant has experienced a clinically significant improvement in reflux symptoms.

In the PPI treatment group, 54.1% of patients experienced such a clinically significant drop in their symptoms.

In the diet change group, 62.6% of participants showed improvement that was clinically significant.

The average reduction in symptoms was 27.2% for the PPI treatment group and 39.8% for the diet change group.

This shows, firstly, that more people benefited from the Mediterranean diet and alkaline water combination than from the PPIs.

Secondly, the PPI treatment reduced acid reflux symptoms by a lot more than the diet change treatment managed to do.

Eliminate Acid Reflux - A Scary-Sounding Acid Reflux Treatment (backed by a new study)

The journal Gastroenterology has just published a study revealing a very unusual but effective drug-free treatment for acid reflux.

And as scary as this treatment may sound, it’s actually quite safe.

The lower esophageal sphincter is the gatekeeper of your stomach.

In a healthy body, the lower esophageal sphincter opens when food needs to pass from the esophagus to the stomach and closes when no more food is coming. This prevents food and stomach acid from flowing back into the esophagus.

If this sphincter is too weak to close or it opens at inappropriate times, your stomach acid and half-digested food will come back up into your esophagus, causing the burning sensation and inflammation with which sufferers are so familiar.

The authors of the new study noticed that some physicians had started using electrical stimulation of this sphincter to try to restore its strength and normal function.

In response, Endostim, one of the providers of the technology, set up a global registry to record all cases of people who had received the treatment.

By February 2018, the details of 268 people from seven countries had been recorded on this registry, giving scientists a good sample of study participants to evaluate for the effectiveness of the electrical stimulation treatment.

53% of them suffered from moderate or severe acid reflux. This number dropped to 23% after three to six months, and even further to 20% after one year of treatment.

70% of the treated people were able to give up proton pump inhibitors completely.

16 patients experienced adverse health events, and six had to have the devices removed. This shows that it is a fairly safe treatment that is simultaneously very effective.

Electrical stimulation of the lower esophageal sphincter works via a device that works a bit like a pacemaker. It is implanted and can easily be removed if it does not work.

It will not work for everyone with acid reflux, however, only for those people whose lower esophageal sphincters have become dysfunctional.
If implementing an electric device inside of you doesn’t sound too good, do not despair.
