One vegetable has been identified as literal ‘superhero’ among all nutritious and beneficial food sources.

Eat it regularly and you can drive away a whole range of health issues such as: arthritis, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and even ED.

Plus, it’s one of the most powerful weight loss secrets I known (and I know many).

Celery is one of the most nutritious and hydrating vegetable you can consume.

Celery leaves are a good source of vitamin A whereas the stems are rich in vitamin B1, B2, B6 and C. Apart from being a vitamin powerhouse celery is rich in the minerals calcium, iron, phosphorus and sodium.

Celery is also a good source of amino acids, plant hormones and essential oils that give celery its characteristic smell.

The sodium content in celery is very different from the table salt most of us consume too much of. In celery, it is present in an organic form that is soluble and essential for body salt balance.

Celery juice, in fact, is an excellent rehydration drink (forget the sport drinks, and try this one the next time) that replenishes the salt lost due to activity.

Below are just few of the amazing benefits of celery:

Health Benefits of Celery #1 – Celery is loaded with at least 8 anti-cancer compounds that fight against different types of cancer including prostate, colon and stomach cancer.

Health Benefits of Celery #2 – It lowers cholesterol by as much as 7 points even when just 2 small stalks of celery are consumed every day.

Health Benefits of Celery #3 – Celery is a natural laxative that improves digestion and relieves constipation. It also relaxes nerves stressed out by artificial laxatives.

Health Benefits of Celery #4 – The sodium and potassium minerals present in celery helps regulate body fluid.

Health Benefits of Celery #5 – Celery is a great food source for reducing inflammation caused by different ailments like arthritis, sinusitis, gout, asthma and bronchitis.

Health Benefits of Celery #6 – Drinking a glass of celery juice every day for one week results a serious drop in blood pressure.

Health Benefits of Celery #7 – The chemical compounds in celery have a soothing effect on the nerves and helps induce sleep.

Health Benefits of Celery #8 – Celery juice helps eliminate toxins from the body and dissolves urinary and gall bladder stones.

This vegetable has even been shown to have the power to increase sexuality without causing side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.

Health Benefits of Celery #9 – Since it’s a negative calorie food (you burn more digesting it than you get calories from eating it) – the more celery you eat, the slimmer you’ll get.

The next time you visit the greengrocer, don’t forget to stock up on celery, and include it in your diet every day for amazing benefits and good health.

The 7 Cases Where High Blood Pressure Is Okay

High blood pressure readings are not always a cause for concern, and you do not always have to rush off to the hospital if you, your gym instructor, or even your doctor receives a high reading. High blood pressure is okay and is considered temporary and normal in the 7 cases listed here. Read on to find out more.

High blood pressure is the number one cause of death in the world.

But in some cases, it’s not just okay, but even healthy to have high blood pressure.

High blood pressure readings are not always a cause for concern, and you do not always have to rush off to the hospital if you, your gym instructor, or even your doctor receives a high reading.

High blood pressure is temporary and normal in all of the following cases:

1. High blood pressure is okay, if you are a little nervous around your doctor or medical paraphernalia, you suffer from something called the white coat effect. This stress increases your blood pressure and can lead to an abnormally high reading.

To combat this, have your blood pressure measured at the end of your visit, ask your doctor to use a digital blood pressure measure that can work while you are alone, or buy one that you can use at home.

2. High blood pressure is okay, if you are an occasional coffee drinker rather than a daily consumer, the caffeine in coffee can spike your blood pressure and keep it artificially high for hours according to a Canadian study in a 2016 edition of the American Journal of Hypertension.

Therefore, abstain from caffeinated drinks for a few hours before you have your blood pressure measured. The same holds for occasional smoking.

3. In a 2003 edition of the Journal of Hypertension, the European Society of Hypertension recommended that the blood pressure cuff should never be used on top of clothing, as it can increase your reading by tens of points, ouch!

In the same article, they warned that you or your doctor should ensure that the circumference of your arm is not larger than the cuff indicates, as too small a cuff can result in the same abnormally elevated reading.

4. High blood pressure is okay, if you’re over 80 years old. Many new studies have revealed that increased blood pressure is normal as we age and it may even be healthier to have blood pressure up to 140/90 when you pass the big 8.

5. Keep quiet while the reading is taken, as a fascinating study in Behavior Science in 1982 showed that talking could increase your blood pressure, especially if it is measured by a high-status individual like a doctor rather than, say, a sibling or friend.

6. Exercising increases your blood pressure to supply your muscles and other hard-working organs with large quantities of blood, according to a study in the SciELO Scientific Electronic Library. So, during and after exercising it’s totally normal to have higher blood pressure.

7. High blood pressure is okay, when your bladder is full. As ridiculous as this sounds, your body responds to a full bladder by increasing hormones that facilitate its emptying, and those hormones happen to include cortisol and adrenaline, your fight or flight hormones that also increase your blood pressure.

In most other cases, having high blood pressure is life-threatening and will unavoidably lead to stroke, heart attack, or other serious health conditions.

What Can Really Decrease Blood Pressure Naturally?

Let’s face it – it’s all in the diet.

If you want to decrease blood pressure or keep it under control, you should make healthy food choices.

But what food that can exactly decrease blood pressure seems to be changing from year to year. Today something is in and tomorrow the same thing is out… enough to drive a person CRAZY!

That’s why in today’s article I’m including a list of 7 foods I absolutely 100% guarantee will help decrease blood pressure (today, tomorrow and ten years from now).

And the best part is; they’re all delicious!

Here are some of the best foods that can bring down your blood pressure. The best part is that they’re all nutritious as well as delicious!

1. Banana – Whenever you crave for a snack, banana might be a good choice. This filling fruit is loaded with the mineral potassium that can decrease blood pressure. In fact, a research has shown that eating 2 bananas a day regularly can bring down blood pressure by nearly 10 percent!

2. Eggs – Do you like scrambled eggs or omelet for breakfast? Eggs are known to contain a peptide compound that can decrease blood pressure. It is supposed to be about as effective as a low dose of a prescription drug. And just to be clear; the cholesterol danger of eggs is nothing but a myth.

3. Tomato – Try swapping your beverage for tomato juice if high blood pressure is your ailment (no I did not say Bloody Mary). The chemical compound in tomatoes called ‘lycopene’ is known to lower blood pressure. 25 milligrams of lycopene (the amount found in a cup of tomato juice) is perfect for lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol by up to 10 percent.

4. Dark chocolate – Eat dark chocolate to your heart’s content – it has been shown to have a good effect at controlling blood pressure. Patients with hypertension and pre-hypertension who ate small quantities of dark chocolate for 18 weeks showed about 20 percent decrease in blood pressure.

5. Watermelon – With the summer round the corner, watermelon is a good choice of fruit to consume regularly. It is a rich source of the amino acid L-citrulline that regulates blood pressure.

6. Raisins – These sweet little treats are perfect for cutting down blood pressure. A research study has shown that patients who snacked on raisins 3 times a day for 12 weeks showed a considerable decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

7. Hibiscus – Do you care to try a cup of hibiscus tea? Research shows that sipping this tea for 6 weeks reduced the blood pressure by up to 7 points in slightly hypertensive patients.

What are the Signs and Symptoms of High Stroke Risk?

Stroke often seems to come without any warning, leaving a person either dead or severely paralyzed. Most people never get over it, even if they get through it. Your chance of surviving with minimal complications is greatly increased if you catch it in time. But that’s often difficult to do. New research from Holland, however, provides one clear indicator of high stroke risk. Keep an eye out for this one and you may be able to take appropriate actions in time.

Which Indicator Is a Sign of High Stroke Risk?

Stroke often seems to come without any warning, leaving a person either dead or severely paralyzed. Most people never get over it, even if they get through it.

Your chance of surviving with minimal complications is greatly increased if you catch it in time. But that’s often difficult to do.

New research from Holland, however, provides one clear indicator that you’re on the brink of suffering a stroke. Keep an eye out for this one and you may be able to take appropriate actions in time.

Does Memory Loss Indicate High Stroke Risk?

Scientists at Erasmus University in Rotterdam recently looked at a new way of determining a person’s risk of suffering a stroke.

It has long been known that people who suffer stroke frequently suffer, as a result, problems with memory and concentration issues.

The researchers wanted to see if there was a link going the other direction- in other words, does memory loss indicate a person’s likelihood to suffer a stroke?

In the study, the researchers looked at over 9,000 men and women for several years. During the course of the study, over 1,100 suffered a stroke.

What the researchers discovered was surprising.

Yes, they anticipated rightly that indeed, suffering memory loss and developing confusion was a reliable indicator that a stroke was either imminent or had occurred but was not yet diagnosed.

So if you begin to notice that you’re forgetting things (or your spouse points it out), don’t ignore it. Now is the time to take immediate action to improve your overall cardiovascular health to bring you back from the brink of a stroke.

But the researchers also found a surprising link between stroke and education. In the subject’s histories, researchers looked at the education level of all of the participants. What they found was that for some reason, participants with a higher level of education were at 39% increased likelihood of suffering a stroke.

While the scientists were quick to point out that there is no way to determine a cause-effect relationship with higher education and risk of stroke, they did note it as a curiosity that merits further study.

What Can Be Done to Cut Down High Stroke Risk?

#1 Way to Prevent High Stroke Risk – Most importantly, Lower your blood pressure. High blood pressure is the number one cause of stroke, heart attack, and other cardiovascular diseases.

What Can Really Cure High Blood Pressure?

A study published recently in The World Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases reveals that high blood pressure is caused by one specific mineral deficiency.

And the great news is that this delicious sweet is loaded with this exact mineral you need to cure high blood pressure. Plus, it’s full of antioxidants and other health benefits.

You can grab a pack of this sweet in any supermarket or health food store.

The study authors, two academics at the School of Life and Medical Sciences at the University of Hertfordshire, recruited 46 subjects from the same geographical area. 25 of them suffered from high blood pressure while the other 21 yielded normal readings.

The scientists asked them to record their daily diets so that they could analyze how much magnesium they consumed per day.

In general, they found that all their subjects consumed less magnesium than both the British and American recommended daily intake.

Those with high blood pressure, however, consumed substantially less magnesium than both these recommended daily intakes and then those with normal blood pressure.

They also discovered that people tend to eat less magnesium as they age, which might explain why older people are more likely than their younger counterparts to have high blood pressure.

To cure high blood pressure, men are advised to consume 400 mg of daily magnesium, while women can make do with 310 mg.

And that brings us to the healthy sweet that’s loaded with magnesium:

Which Type of Dark Chocolate to Choose that Can Cure High Blood Pressure?

Buy chocolate with the fewest ingredients possible and with the highest cocoa percentage (above 70 percent). Sugar should be one of the last ingredients on the label and it should not contain trans (hydrogenated) fat or milk fat and should not have been processed with an alkali.

What are Other Foods to Eat that Can Cure High Blood Pressure Naturally?

Almonds, cashews, peanuts, sesame seeds, and pumpkin seeds are also great to eat as a snack.

Bananas and avocados are two other popular magnesium-rich alternatives. So are spinach, Swiss chard, kale, brown rice, quinoa, soya, beans, and lentils.

For fish lovers, go for mackerel and tuna to load up on magnesium.

#1 Ingredient That Can Really Raise Blood Pressure (and it’s NOT fat or salt)

#1 Ingredient That Can Really Raise Blood Pressure and this is not due to Fat or Salt? Which Common Food Ingredient Can Really Raise Blood Pressure by Up to 76%?

Click HERE to Learn How to Control Your High Blood Pressure Naturally Without Expensive Medication

What Can Really Raise Blood Pressure If It is Not Fat or Salt?

If you’ve been diagnosed with high blood pressure, your well-meaning doctor probably told you to cut down on FAT and SALT!

But a new study published in American Journal of Cardiology reveals another common ingredient that’s much, much worse which can really raise blood pressure.

Which Common Food Ingredient Can Really Raise Blood Pressure by Up to 76%?

People who consume most of this ingredient have up to 76% higher blood pressure and are twice as likely to develop chronic hypertension than those who consume less.

The worst part is, you’re most definitely consuming this ingredient every day yourself.

We all know that sugar is related to risk of developing obesity, which in turn is a risk factor for hypertension. However, recently researchers have found that sugar can directly cause high blood pressure even if obesity is absent.

What Did Researchers Discover that Can Really Raise Blood Pressure?

The study team gathered data on nearly 400,000 people from 12 previously published studies and analysed them for common health trends.

What they discovered was that people who consume 3 or more sugary beverages (sodas, sugary fruit juices etc) had 26 to 76 percent higher blood pressure than those who drank little or no sweetened drinks. And they were almost twice as likely to develop chronic hypertension than non-sugar-drinkers.

The largest impact on high blood pressure was contributed by sugared drinks that have no other nutritional value (did someone say cola?).

So how exactly does sugar raise blood pressure?

You see, sugar decreases the level of nitric oxide in the system, which is essential for dilation of blood vessels.

It also causes magnesium deficiency – essential mineral to manage blood pressure. When metabolizing sugar, magnesium is used up and ultimately the mineral gets depleted in the system.

High blood pressure is just one of many things sugar and high fructose corn syrup causes. It contributes to almost all progressive diseases such as type 2 diabetes, arthritis and even cancer.

What Can Terribly Happen If You Slept Less Than 6 Hours?

What Can Happen If You Slept Less Than 6 Hours? What Are Health Risks If You Slept Less Than 6 Hours? What Can Happen to Your Health If You Slept Less Than 6 Hours?

What Are Health Risks If You Slept Less Than 6 Hours?

If you’ve high blood pressure, high cholesterol or high blood sugar, you’ll be twice as likely to die early if you skimp on this one activity.

No, it’s not exercises, eating healthy or taking your medications.

In fact, it’s one pleasant activity that most of us just don’t allow ourselves to indulge in enough.

What Can Happen to Your Health If You Slept Less Than 6 Hours?

Metabolic syndrome is a fancy way of saying you have the risk factors for modern lifestyle diseases such as high cholesterol, high blood sugar, high blood pressure etc… Leading to diabetes, heart attack and stroke.

American researchers have just published a study in the Journal of the American Heart Association revealing that people suffering metabolic syndrome need to sleep for more than six hours per night.

They picked 1,344 adults with an average age of 49 who were studied by a different study called the Penn State Adult Cohort.

These people all slept in the sleep laboratory for one night so the researchers could calculate their typical sleep duration.

22 of them died during the follow-up period of 16.6 years for which they were observed.

Compared to those without metabolic syndrome, those with this condition who slept more than six hours were 1.49 times more likely to die of heart disease or stroke. That is not surprising, as we know how unhealthy this condition is.

The interesting finding, however, was that those who slept less than 6 hours were 2.1 times more likely to die of heart disease or stroke than people who were not suffering from metabolic syndrome.

It is not just death from heart disease and stroke that is the problem.

People with metabolic syndrome who slept less than 6 hours were 1.99 times more likely to die from any condition than the healthy volunteers were.
