Does this Gruesome Image Help in Lowering Bad Cholesterol Levels?

Can lowering bad cholesterol levels be as simple as looking at a still picture?

According to a new Swedish study published in in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, the answer is an absolute yes.

In fact, those who looked at this picture lowered their cholesterol twice as much as those who did not.

3,532 study participants, all of whom were aged between 40 to 60, were given a written analysis of their unique heart risk factors, based on what was discovered in their blood samples and ultrasound scans.

They also all received a motivational health dialogue and written guidelines to improve their heart health.

However, only half of the participants received a picture of the plaque in their own arteries, together with a measurement from green to red to depict the difference between their biological and chronological ages.

After one year, the group that received pictures of their personal arteries had lowered their cholesterol level by twice as much as those who had only received written report and instruction.

The thing is we all intellectually know that we need to take care of our heart but because the symptoms are not obvious, it is hard to be motivated to make big changes.

But a gruesome picture of your heart can shock you into taking action.

Fortunately, the most effective way to lower cholesterol level only requires you to cut out this ONE ingredient that you didn’t even know you were consuming…

Doing This ONE Thing for Lowering Bad Cholesterol Levels and Reducing Heart Attack Risk by 300%

If you do this one thing, you’ll be 300% less likely to die from a stroke or heart attack than if you can’t do it.

The good news is that it is quite easy to master this skill and save your life in the process.

And you can do this at home without a visit to the doctors.

In this new study presented at EuroEcho-Imaging 2018, a European Society of Cardiology conference, researchers asked 12,615 subjects to run on a treadmill, gradually increasing the intensity of the exercise and continuing to do so till the participants could do no more.

They did this to test something called functional capacity, which is in essence how long you can work out at a high capacity without having to take a break.

Five years after this study, 1,253 people from the group died of cardiovascular causes, 670 died of cancer, and 650 died of other causes.

Those with poor functional capacity were almost three times more likely to die of cardiovascular diseases, such as stroke and heart attack.

You can easily test your functional capacity at home.

If you can run fast up four floors of stairs without stopping then you have good functional capacity. If not, then it is time to start training.

But even more important would be the need to clear out all cholesterol buildup in your arteries, and you can do that by cutting out this ONE ingredient you didn’t even know you were consuming…

This study, which was published in the Journal JAMA Network Open, investigated 40 physiological factors, or biomarkers, of women who consumed the Mediterranean diet and compared these with the biomarkers of women who did not.

They observed 25,994 American women who participated in the Women’s Health Study for a period of 12 years.

The information they collected included food intake questionnaires, as well as blood samples, to test for blood fats, cholesterol, blood glucose, glucose processing, insulin resistance, inflammation, and other amino acids and metabolites.

Based on the food intake questionnaires, the researchers categorized them into three groups: a low, a medium, and a high Mediterranean diet intake.

Compared to the low Mediterranean intake group, the medium intake participants were 23% less likely to have a cardiovascular event and the high intake participants were 28% less likely to have one.

The researchers emphasized that this is better than, or at least as good as, one can expect in the case of statins and other heart medications.
The largest physiological factors that gave rise to this reduction in heart disease risk of the high Mediterranean dieters over the low dieters were:

#1. Biomarkers that indicated inflammation were reduced by 29.2%.

#2. Biomarkers that indicated better insulin sensitivity and better glucose processing were 27.9% higher.

#3. Their body mass index was 27.3% lower.

#4. Their blood pressure was 26.6% lower.

#5. Their blood fat was 26.0% lower.

#6. Their high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (good cholesterol) was 24.0% higher.

#7. Their very low-density lipoprotein cholesterol was 20.8% lower.

#8. Their low-density lipoprotein cholesterol was 13.0% lower.

#9. Their branched-chain amino acids were 13.6% higher. These included leucine, isoleucine, and valine, all of which were essential protein components that build muscle and is obtained through food.

Other biomarkers were also healthier by an amount lesser than 10%.
The Mediterranean diet involves a high intake of nuts, seeds, olive oil, fish, vegetables, and fruit; a medium intake of whole grains and dairy; and a low intake of red meat, sugar, and processed grains, like bread and pastries.

As this study has shown, if this diet is adopted, you will be healthier and have a reduced risk of heart attacks and strokes.

To completely clean out cholesterol buildup in your heart, cut out this ONE single ingredient that you didn’t even know you were consuming…

Does a Simple Diet Change Completely Reverse Type-2 Diabetes?

In a new study published in the Journal BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care, researchers have found remarkable benefits that affect type-2 diabetes, all stemming from one simple diet change.

90% of study participants drastically improved their type 2 diabetes, while many eliminated the need for medications.

The researchers identified 11 sufficiently rigorous scientific studies that were published between 1992 and 2017.

All the studies used subjects that had type-2 diabetes, or those who were well on their way to developing it.

Nine out of 11 studies found that those on the plant-based (vegan) diet managed to significantly decrease or completely drop their diabetes medications.

This was found to be a lot better than the other diets studied.

Other benefits of being plant eaters were:

1. Psychological health benefits
2. Physical wellbeing
3. Lowered levels of depression
4. Lowered levels of perceived nerve pain
5. Objectively measured nerve damage
6. Increased self-esteem
7. Perceived control over nutrition
8. Perceived control over life in general
9. Increased rate of weight loss
10. Decrease in fasting blood glucose.
11. Decrease in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and blood fats.

In general, the subjects who adhered to their new diets best reaped the most benefits.

The diets with which they compared the plant-based diet ranged from low-carbohydrate diets to alkaline diets, to diets recommended by various official diabetes associations.

A plant-based diet consists primarily of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes, and whole grains, and generally avoids heavily processed foods, like refined grains. Some of the studies allowed their participants to enjoy an item that would be the equivalent of one plain yogurt per day.

Now if going vegan is not your cup of tea, then learn how thousands of readers have completely reversed their type-2 diabetes using these three simple steps…

Completely Reverse Type-2 Diabetes - New Deadly Diabetes Complications Discovered

As if all the scary type 2 diabetes complications you’ve heard about weren’t enough (lost limbs, eyesight etc.), a new study from University of London reveals what may be the scariest one yet.

Their study appeared in the journal called Diabetes Care.

Fortunately, if you act now, you may be able to avoid this deadly consequence and even completely reverse your type 2 diabetes.

Scientists used English primary care data to estimate average blood sugar level for 85,312 type 2 diabetes patients from the years of 2008 and 2009.

Armed with all this information, they checked whether type-2 diabetics were more likely to suffer from infections than non-diabetics were, and whether people with poorly controlled diabetes were more likely to develop infections as compared to people with well-controlled diabetes.

They found the following:

1. Compared to people without diabetes, diabetics with well-controlled diabetes were 41% more likely to be hospitalized with an infection.
2. Compared to people without diabetes, diabetics with poorly controlled diabetes were 470% more likely to require hospitalization for an infection.
3. Diabetics with poorly controlled diabetes were 270% more likely to be hospitalized with an infection than diabetics with well-controlled diabetes.

If you think this is bad enough, think again, because it gets worse.
Of those with poorly controlled diabetes, 46% of the infections were serious ones, such as bone and joint infections. These tend to be long-term and cause pain, swelling, stiffness, deformities, and permanent bone and joint damage, which could lead to disabilities.

A further 26% of infections involved endocarditis, an infection of the inner lining of your heart chambers and heart valves. This could destroy your heart valves.

24% of the infections were tuberculosis, and a further 21% were sepsis, a condition in which the infection is so bad that your immune system’s response to it is so extreme that it destroys your own body tissue.

Lastly, 16% of the poorly controlled diabetic patients actually died due to their infections.

All these infections were bacterial infections, which suggested that diabetes and incredibly high blood sugar destroy your body’s normal defence mechanisms against these infections.

In fact, diabetes coincides with impaired blood flow, especially to your extremities like your arms and legs. This would mean that the white blood cells of your immune system are unable to reach these locations to combat bacteria.

Furthermore, because diabetes damages your nerves, infection tends to worsen in diabetics because they do not respond as quickly to pain sensations as non-diabetics.

While this is scary news, the truth needs to be told as too many people suffering diabetes are not motivated enough to take any drastic action to manage it.

Fortunately, there is a simple, easy way to completely reverse type-2 diabetes – usually within 28 days. All you need to do is follow the 3 simple steps found here…

Completely Reverse Type-2 Diabetes -High Blood Pressure or Diabetes? Skip This Good Deed!

Doing good deeds is important.

It is especially important in cases when you need to inconvenience yourself in order to help others.

But in cases where you may actually lose your own life in the process of helping someone else, most people are willing to accept that there is no moral requirement for you to help.

For this reason alone, there is one good deed that you should not consider attempting, especially if you have type-2 diabetes or high blood pressure.

Medical specialists at a recent kidney conference in San Diego, California advised people with high blood pressure and type-2 diabetes to refrain from donating their kidneys to those in need. This statement followed a study by Dr. Hassan Ibrahim, one of the conference participants, on the health outcomes of those who have already donated.

According to his yet-to-be published study, people who have diabetes or high blood pressure are two to four times as likely as their peers to develop reduced kidney functions. If this reduced kidney function develops into kidney failure or end-stage renal disease, they will find themselves needing new kidneys.

This study is important, not only to save people from generous acts that may hurt them, but for two other reasons, too.

Firstly, as an increasingly large number of people develop high blood pressure or diabetes, the numbers of people who can donate kidneys are dropping.

Second, as seen from the other point of view, since diabetes and high blood pressure can cause kidney failure, a larger number of people with these conditions have led to an increase in the number of people who need new kidneys.

In other words, the waiting list is ballooning while donors are dwindling.

There is already an existing gap between the number of people who need kidneys and the number of people can donate them. For example, according to the US Renal Data System, 111,000 patients went on to dialysis and end-stage renal disease treatment in 2007, while only 17,513 kidney transplants were performed.

Luckily, the gap between those who ideally need transplants and those who receive them is not that large annually. However, the number of people with kidney failure and dialysis treatment is becoming a huge worldwide health problem.

The number of Americans treated for kidney failure has increased dramatically from 209,000 in 1991 to 472,000 in 2004 to 527,283 in 2007, reflecting an increase in its contributing factors; namely, hypertension and diabetes.

The discovery that diabetes and high blood pressure cause kidney disease is not new. The US Renal Data System lists both as the two main contributing factors. The new study contributes to the debate by showing just how poorly the health outcome is for people with diabetes and hypertension who donate kidneys are.

If you have hypertension or diabetes, this means that you are not able to donate a kidney to a close relative who suffers from kidney failure. In fact, many hospitals will not permit you to donate a kidney if you have one of these conditions, even if you do sign a consent form that states that you understand the risks. Furthermore, your country’s medical systems simply cannot afford to have you on dialysis, too. This can leave someone you love on dialysis and in poor health for years.

Equally worrying is the day when your type-2 diabetes or high blood pressure reduces your own kidney function to the point where you need to go on dialysis and need a transplant. Then there will be little help for you as well.

This, once again, shows the importance of curing your diseases naturally.

Here is the 3-step strategy that thousands of readers have successfully used to completely reverse their type 2 diabetes…

Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally - Weird Danger of High Blood Pressure - It’s old news that high blood pressure can cause heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, sexual dysfunctions and many other health issues. Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally - Weird Danger of High Blood Pressure

It’s old news that high blood pressure can cause heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, sexual dysfunctions and many other health issues.
But a new finding published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine reveals that there may be an even deadlier effect of high blood pressure.

Except this one has little to do with your health.

The researchers questioned and tested almost 800 truck drivers at truck stops and truck shows in Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Nevada, Texas, and Utah because they wanted to ascertain why long-haul truck driving was such a dangerous profession.

Unsurprisingly, those who used their cell phones and/or were overworked and fatigued were most likely to crash.

The more interesting finding was that drivers who had a high pulse pressure were more likely to have accidents than those with normal pulse pressures.

Pulse pressure is the difference between your systolic and diastolic readings on a blood pressure test. In other words, if your pulse pressure is 40 mm Hg, it would mean that your blood pressure reading is the recommended 120/80 mm Hg and your pulse pressure is good. If you have high blood pressure, your systolic pressure usually increases far more than your diastolic pressure and your pulse pressure number increases along with it.

High pulse pressure is considered to be a grave health problem if it passes 60 (as in 160/100, for example).

The most well-known cause of high pulse pressure is stiffness of your aorta, the primary artery that transports oxygenated blood from your heart to the rest of your body. Leaky heart valves can also cause it. In this way, it is a serious indication of cardiovascular disease and/or poor heart function.

The concern, accordingly, is not that high blood pressure alone causes traffic accidents, but that cardiovascular disease might.

So, to keep hearts and roads safe, I recommend you do these 3 easy exercises that will bring your blood pressure to below 120/80 – in as little as 9 minutes…

Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally - “Forest Bathing” Cures High Blood Pressure and Other Diseases

Forest bathing as a practice originated in Japan, where it has been extensively studied for its ability to remedy various diseases.

And this is catching on fast with Westerners, due to the fact that it has been proven to cure high blood pressure as well as several other diseases.

Surprisingly though, you don’t have to worry about getting wet. And you can safely do this without any medical supervision.

Forest therapy refers to the practice of walking in a forest and soaking up the atmosphere, smelling the trees and air, looking at the flowers, listening to the streams and the wind through the trees, noticing the individual bird species, feeling the leaves and roots under your feet, and so forth.
The Japanese call this forest bathing, not because you swim in a forest stream, but because you immerse yourself in nature.

Aside from being a pleasant pastime, many studies are now concluding that it might be a useful medical therapy for a wide range of conditions. Some Japanese doctors even prescribe it as an adjunct treatment for diseases, such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

Since stress contributes to so many diseases, one of the most frequently studied effects of forest therapy is its effects on stress reduction. For example, Japanese researchers published a study in the journal Public Health in 2007 that investigated the psychological effects of this therapy.

They surveyed 498 volunteers twice on the forest-walking day and twice on the control day, during which they did not visit the forest. They concluded that forest walking reduced stress; the higher the stress levels, the larger the reduction.

A well-controlled scientific study published in Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine in 2009 revealed several physical health benefits of forest walks. To demonstrate this, the scientists divided their participants into two groups.

On day one, subjects from group one were sent to a forest, and subjects from group two went to a city area. On day two, the groups swapped locations, so that each participant was studied in both the city and forest setting. Medical specialists monitored their physiological measures. Altogether, 280 people participated in the study over a one-year period.

The conclusion was surprisingly strong. Forest areas promoted lower concentrations of cortisol, lower pulse rates, lower blood pressure, greater parasympathetic nerve activity, and lower sympathetic nerve activity.

Cortisol is the hormone that contributes most powerfully to high blood pressure, and its secretion is partly brought about by overactive sympathetic nerves. This is the fight-or-flight system that many blood pressure therapies target. If your anxiety and cortisol are under control, chances are small regarding a struggle with high blood pressure.

Two years later, another research team tested the blood and urine concentrations of various hormones that contributed to hypertension and drew similar conclusions. Forest walks reduced overall blood pressure readings.

Moreover, it also reduced the concentrations of urinary noradrenaline (a blood pressure-boosting neurotransmitter that is used as a drug to treat low blood pressure) and dopamine (a precursor of adrenaline that also increases blood pressure). Furthermore, it improved their blood concentrations of adiponectin, a shortage of which has been associated with higher risk of obesity and diabetes. The report was published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology.

At this stage, most experts speculate that the effects could be in part due to phytoncides, an organic compound that plants release as a protection against fungi and bacteria.

However, if you can’t take a walk in the forest every day, doing these 3 easy blood pressure exercises will also drastically lower your stress hormone production and blood pressure level effectively within 9 minutes…

Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally - Best Time to Check Blood Pressure (this will save your life)

Regularly checking your blood pressure may not be enough for identifying and preventing high blood pressure, according to research from Jichi Medical University in Japan.

Strangely enough, taking your blood pressure at the wrong time of the day could completely skew the readings and cause stroke and heart attack.

Scientists have said for years that the best time to check is in the morning because the resting readings are the most accurate.

But that’s not the only reason, according to the scientists from Jichi Medical University in Japan.

It was found in their study that in the case of participants whose blood pressure tended to be higher in the morning than at other times of day, NOT identifying the high blood pressure problem for this group proved to be deadly.

Those people were at an exponentially higher risk of stroke and heart attack than their counterparts whose blood pressure were found to be high all day.
There wasn’t a difference in risk factor for those whose blood pressure who had a higher pressure reading in the evenings. The morning spikes that were the standout factor.

So, the checking of the blood pressure at the same time every day is best, especially if you can do it morning, noon, and before bed. However, most importantly would be your morning readings.

But you probably already know you have high blood pressure. So,what should you do about it? By far the best method to lower your blood pressure naturally lies in these 3 easy blood pressure exercises that are guaranteed to bring yours below 120/80 –starting today…

What is the Best Way to Overcome Insomnia?

If you’ve suffered insomnia for a while, you’ve probably been advised to avoid TV, computer screens or any other bright light an hour before going to sleep. And maybe you’ve tried to take a bath or listen to calm music or something else to relax in the last hours of your day. But this may be all for nothing if you live in the wrong street. Overcome Insomnia -Is Your Insomnia Caused by Your Quiet Neighbourhood?

If you’ve suffered insomnia for a while, you’ve probably been advised to avoid TV, computer screens or any other bright light an hour before going to sleep.

And maybe you’ve tried to take a bath or listen to calm music or something else to relax in the last hours of your day.

But this may be all for nothing if you live in the wrong street.

And weirdly enough, this can be a problem even if your neighbourhood is quiet and seemingly well fit for sleeping. Even if you live in what some call “sleep towns”, it may be causing you to stay up in the night.

In a new study published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, South Korean scientists used information from the National Health Insurance Service-National Sample Cohort (2002-2013) to identify 52,027 adults aged 60 and older with available health data.

They used this information to identify those who used one of two hypnotic drugs, zolpidem ortriazolam (sleeping pills).

They then consulted satellite mapping of artificial outdoor light obtained from the National Centers for Environmental Information to figure out whether the amount of such lighting was associated with the use of these hypnotic drugs.

They found that 22% of their subjects used one of these drugs to sleep, and that those exposed to the most amounts of outdoor light had substantially more subscriptions to these drugs.

Not only that, but they also used higher daily doses and the duration of their prescriptions were found to be much longer as compared to those with lower light exposure.

From these findings, they concluded that artificial outdoor lighting might cause the sleep disturbances that have become so common in the last few decades.

In essence, these outdoor lights work in the same way as TVs, computers and smart devices, tricking your body into thinking it’s daytime when in fact your body should be getting ready to fall asleep.

However, moving to the country may not be an option. Instead, use this easy technique to trick your body back into a sleepy mood – from as soon as 10 minutes…

Overcome Insomnia - #1 Cause of Insomnia Discovered (along with a simple cure)

The underlying cause of insomnia has long been a great mystery. Experts generally attribute it to light, stress, hormones and numerous other factors.

However, most often these experts are unable to find any effective solutions.

A new study published in the journal Genes & Development has finally come up with a reliable conclusion behind the cause of insomnia. And along with that, a pretty simple solution that works for most people.

A healthy sleep routine depends on our internal circadian clocks. These mechanisms help our bodies tell time, so they know when to be active and when to be at rest.

But if something happens to our circadian clock, our body and mind get confused about the time of day, which can lead to insomnia.

A new study now proves that inflammation can turn the circadian clocks of mice on and off and could thereby lead to insomnia.

The researchers induced inflammation in mice, either through a high-fat high-carbohydrate diet or by injecting it.

They then noticed that the inflammation triggered an excess of the genetic factor called NF-kappa beta (NFKB).

NFKB then started a biological chain reaction that ultimately led to the tissue destruction that was caused by the inflammation.

Now, it also happens that the NFKB factor controls the processes through which our circadian clocks work; in other words, the processes through which our bodies can tell time.

Therefore, if you have an autoimmune disease, such as arthritis, type-2 diabetes or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and there is a lot of inflammation in your body, you probably do not sleep very well.

Up until now, researchers have believed that it was simply a function of pain, discomfort, and stress. Now we know that insomnia brought about by these diseases is in fact driven by the same factor that causes tissue destruction when there is plenty of inflammation is present.

An article that appeared in the Journal Advances in Nutrition in 2016 also found that people who ate a lot of inflammation-inducing foods, such like sweets and high-trans-fat diets, tended to suffer from insomnia symptoms, such as having difficulty falling asleep, difficulty staying asleep, and early awakening.

On the other hand, people on the Mediterranean diet, known to be one of the best anti-inflammatory diets around, suffered from the fewest insomnia symptoms.

This new study shows why high-inflammation diets may cause insomnia and how anti-inflammatory diets may help people remain free of it.

Here is the 3-step-strategy thousands of readers have used to beat arthritis inflammation in 21 days or less…

And here is a simple trick that is guaranteed to knock you into a deep sleep in 10 minutes – and it can begin tonight…

Overcome Insomnia - Can’t Sleep? There’s a 52% Chance You Suffer This Dangerous Disorder

It comes as no surprise that insomniacs score higher on depression and anxiety tests than good sleepers do. After all, lack of sleep can drive you somewhat crazy, right?

But a study in the latest edition of the journal Comprehensive Psychiatry suggests that it is much more than just mood disorders that insomniacs should worry about.

In fact, more than half of all insomniacs suffer a hidden but very destructive disorder.

Researchers decided to find out whether insomniacs were more likely to suffer from personality disorders than psychotherapy patients were.

For subjects, they recruited 171 insomnia patients and 171 psychotherapy patients who were presented to their clinic.

They matched them on age and gender and gave them the standard diagnostic questionnaire to identify the personality disorders from which they suffered, if any.

Interestingly, 52% of insomniacs scored positively for at least one personality disorder, which was substantially higher than the findings in the psychotherapy group.

While looking at specific personality disorders, insomniacs were most likely to suffer from a narcissistic personality disorder, histrionic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, and non-specific personality disorders.

Given these findings, the authors of this study recommended that insomnia patients be screened for personality disorders, as there could be a possibility that their sleep disorder stems from these psychological problems.

However, there is an upside, which would be that insomnia which is resilient to standard treatments could become treatable by treating the personality disorders from which they result from.

But the scientists didn’t comment on the other side, such as once insomnia patients could be assisted to sleep well, would their personality disorder also be healed as well?
