What is the Best Way for Treating Aching Joints?

Treating Aching Joints - The pharmaceutical search for an effective arthritis medication has been very bumpy to say the least. Several drugs have been pulled out of the market after being proven to be both useless and dangerous. But maybe a pill already exists that can prevent arthritis? One that was never meant to take on this task and used by millions of women already.

Treating Aching Joints - This Simple Cheap Test Diagnoses Arthritis in a Matter of Minutes

The earlier you diagnose your arthritis, the easier it is to treat it. This is true both for traditional medicines as well as natural cures (more on that in a bit).

At present, a musculoskeletal ultrasound is the best diagnostic tool to identify arthritis early, but it is expensive and ineffective since joint swelling is often not present at the beginning of the disease.

But a new study published in the journal Scientific Reports shows there is actually a simple and cheap test to diagnose arthritis and avoid deformities.

In fact, it can be done in almost all doctor’s offices.

Thermography is the new “hot” kid on the block of disease diagnosis. Previously, it was used to diagnose cancer and limited forms of diabetes. That led scientists to wonder whether it could be used to diagnose rheumatoid arthritis, especially since it involves high levels of inflammation.

The study included 51 healthy volunteers and 31 arthritis sufferers, who had been diagnosed with wrist and finger arthritis via a musculoskeletal ultrasound. They had no inflammation of the synovial membrane. They also experienced no pain and exhibited no swelling. In other words, they were asymptomatic.

Researchers used a Flir T630 therma camera to test the temperature of their subject’s palms and fingers.

Healthy participants had an average palm temperature of 29.37 °C and a finger temperature of 27.16°C whereas those with arthritis had an average of 31.4 °C and 30.22 °C respectively.

They concluded people with a palm temperature above 31.5 °C and a finger temperature above 30.3 °C were more likely to have arthritis.

Because there is little to no inflammation early on in the disease, scientists concluded the success of the thermography test was due to detecting some subclinical disease activity. Whatever the reason, this is a cheap test that can be used to diagnose arthritis as early as possible to improve the chance of treating it successfully.

But early arthritis detection tests will not cure your disease. Treating Aching Joints - For this, you need to follow these simple 3 steps to naturally reverse your arthritis starting today…

Treating Aching Joints - This Vaccine Is Essential for Arthritis Patients

The controversy over vaccines is strong these days. People are strongly for or against them.

There is one vaccine, however, you most likely want to take if you’ve developed arthritis, at least before you use any prescription medications.

But only if you had chickenpox as a kid.

Numerous studies have found that shingles is more common in the arthritic population than it is in their healthy non-arthritic counterparts.

To make the situation even worse, the most common drugs doctors prescribe for arthritis tend to suppress your immune system’s response to shingles even further, meaning that physician-treated arthritics often carry a double risk for shingles.

Shingles is caused by the herpes zoster virus. This is the same virus that causes chickenpox.

After having chickenpox as a child, the virus remains dormant in your body throughout your adult life, putting you at risk of shingles when it unexpectedly erupts again.

In a new edition of the journal Arthritis & Rheumatology, researchers describe a study in which they claim that a shingles vaccine is essential for arthritis patients.

In the study, they gave 112 patients with rheumatoid arthritis a shingles vaccine two to three weeks before they started the common anti-arthritis drug called tofacitinib (a Janus kinase inhibitor, for those who want to be technical).

Half of them were given tofacitinib while the other half was given a placebo or fake treatment.

The patients given the vaccine were no more likely than non-arthritic people to develop shingles, whereas non-vaccinated arthritis patients frequently had shingles.

One of their participants did develop a Varicella Zoster infection, but it was later learned that this person did not have chickenpox as a child.

Varicella zoster is the virus in the vaccine that is supposed to trigger the immune response against the awakening of the herpes zoster virus.

This suggests that the vaccine should be given only to arthritics who had chickenpox as children. After all, those who didn’t have chickenpox are at very low risk of getting shingles.

But the real question is, do you want to use prescription medications with serious side effects or do you want to cure your arthritis naturally?

Treating Aching Joints - Unrelated Pill Prevents Arthritis

The pharmaceutical search for an effective arthritis medication has been very bumpy to say the least. Several drugs have been pulled out of the market after being proven to be both useless and dangerous.

But maybe a pill already exists that can prevent arthritis? One that was never meant to take on this task and used by millions of women already.

In fact, a new study recently published in Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases shows that those taking this pill have a significant reduction in arthritis flare-up than non-users.

Women are three times more likely than men to be affected by rheumatoid arthritis, which has led many researchers to investigate whether there is a hormonal aspect among its various causes.

For this reason, a research team decided to examine what effect the oral contraceptive pill had on women’s risk for this painful, inflammatory joint disease.

They asked volunteers in the Swedish Epidemiological Investigation of RA study to complete a questionnaire on their taking of oral contraceptives, breastfeeding, smoking, alcohol consumption, and other factors that might influence the results.

When they compared 2,641 arthritic women with 4,251 nonarthritic women, they found that women who ever used the contraceptive pill were 15% less likely than never-users to develop rheumatoid arthritis.

This was after they excluded smoking, alcohol use, and other habits known to be contributing factors in the development of this disease.

However, the pill does come with side effects and it does not cure arthritis once it has set in, so researchers warned not to start using it just to manage arthritis.

Treating Aching Joints – A better way is to follow the three steps found here to completely rid yourself of all types of arthritis in 21 days or less

This post is from the Arthritis Strategy Program. It was created by Shelly Manning, a former arthritis sufferer and a health consultant.

A Brief Background on the Author

Like you, Shelly Manning also suffered from arthritis, particularly osteoarthritis. This was due to her weight and desk job. Her condition eventually took a toll on her relationship with her (former) husband.

It was when she went to Hong Kong that she met Janerdquo, an old woman who owned the restaurant where she ate. Janerdquo supposedly offered her a bowl of a weird-smelling soup, which helped ease her joint pain. She ate there each day for 10 days until she was completely healed from arthritis.

Shelly Manning decided to research this natural remedy and to create a step-by-step treatment plan to others who are suffering from different types of arthritis, such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and psoriatic arthritis.

That’s why she created “The Arthritis Step By Step Strategy.” According to her claims, this unique strategy will get rid of joint pain and stiffness, repair your damaged joints, and treat the underlying cause of your arthritis.

Shelly teamed up with Christian Goodman, the owner of Blue Heron Health News, a publishing company that aims to help people to take responsibility for their own health by using natural health alternatives for preventing arthritis in fingers and knees naturally.

What is the Best Way to Relieve Inflammation and Pain from Arthritis?

Relieve Inflammation and Pain from Arthritis - The Real Cause (and Cure) of Osteoarthritis Discovered

Osteoarthritis is often called “wear and tear arthritis”, because it’s traditionally considered to be caused by strain on joints. This can be caused by either overworking them with repeated movement (carpenter hammering) or by being overweight.

But this is far from the truth, according to a new study published in the Journal Nature Communications.

Which makes sense, because why then would the wrists of an overweight person hurt so much? Osteoarthritis should only affect the knees, right?

The researchers collected data from previous studies, including the results of stool samples from 1,427 people, which included information about the bacteria in their intestines.

The subjects ranged from slightly overweight to obese. 124 of them had knee arthritis and a further 285 reported knee pain.

Researchers wanted to find out whether osteoarthritis pain was partly caused by obesity-related gut bacteria. This would explain why joints that don’t carry weight are such common victims of osteoarthritis.

Four types of bacteria from the streptococcus family were more prevalent in the people with arthritis pain compared to those without it.

Scientists concluded that toxins released by streptococcus gut bacteria increased the amount of pain from which arthritic patients suffer.

After examining the magnetic resonance images of knees from the previous studies they also found those with the most arthritis pain exhibited the most inflammation, suggesting the streptococcus family of gut bacteria could quite possibly cause arthritis pain by promoting inflammation.

This shows what we have been preaching for years – that all types of arthritis, even osteoarthritis, are caused by chronic inflammation. And the way to cure arthritis is to eliminate inflammation from the inside.

Relieve Inflammation and Pain from Arthritis - This Sport Causes Arthritis

Sports are healthy, right?

For the most part, yes, but a new study from the University of Oxford and the University of Bath shows that one type of sport directly leads to arthritis.

And it’s one that is becoming very popular.

So please warn people who are at risk of arthritis against playing this sport.

The researchers identified 259 former male elite rugby players over the age of 50 and, through questionnaires, compared their health outcomes with those of 5,186 participants of the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing and 2,981 participants from the Health Survey for England.

Compared to the general public, former players were:

1.   Four times more likely to suffer osteoarthritis.

2.   Six times more likely to have had a joint replacement.

3.   Three times more likely to have osteoporosis.

4.   Twice as likely to struggle with anxiety.

In addition, former players were more likely than the general population to report problems with mobility, pain and discomfort, self-care, and usual activities.

The reason for this is the huge number of injuries from which elite players suffer compared to non-contact sports and lower-level rugby participation.

This is therefore not just an insulated problem with rugby but something to be concerned about with all high-impact sports.

Despite this, 95% of the former players said they would do it all over again even if they knew the risk. And 78% would encourage their kids to do the same.

Relieve Inflammation and Pain from Arthritis - The good news is, even if you’ve full-blown arthritis, you can reverse your condition using the 3-simple-steps found here…

Relieve Inflammation and Pain from Arthritis - Why Arthritis Patients Suffer This Unrelated Infection

People with arthritis are more likely than the healthy population to suffer from infections, including potentially deadly ones that can put you in hospital on intravenous antibiotics.

Conditions like urinary tract infections, upper respiratory infections, pneumonia, and meningitis are all caused by bacteria or viruses and are all common in people with arthritis.

So why does this happen to people with arthritis?

To answer this, American researchers analyzed the data of arthritic patients registered on the Corrona registry between 2003 and 2015, comparing people with different levels of disease activity to see how important it is to keep arthritis under control.

They published the study in the journal Arthritis Care Research.

In this case, they used the commonly used clinical disease activity index to separate the patients into those…

– with sustained remission (3,355 people),
– those with sustained low disease activity (3,912 people),
– and those with sustained moderate to high disease activity (5,062 people).

Overall, there were 1.03 infections per 100 patient-years in the remission group, 1.92 in the low disease activity group, and 2.51 in the high disease activity group.

For this reason, it is incredibly important to keep your arthritis under control, especially to the point where you are in remission and the condition is mostly dormant.

Those who took drugs that suppress the immune system had twice the risk of infection of the others, and in their case remission did not help.

So how can you put your arthritis in remission without suffering the side effects of medications?

Reverse Your Arthritis Without Drugs - These Foods Beat Arthritis

An arthritis diagnosis sounds like a sentence to a life, accompanied by pain, disability, and expensive medication and their side effects.

A new study by researchers from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine published in the journal Frontiers – Nutrition concludes that it doesn’t have to be this way.

The team performed a review of existing studies and found that a surprising (and controversial) diet that could reverse your arthritis without drugs.

Firstly, they found that plant-based diets were great at reducing inflammation, which is at the heart of arthritis.

From the majority of existing studies, they concluded that diets that contained a lot of meat and dairy were the most likely to cause inflammation.

C-reactive protein, one of the chief contributors to inflammation, was found to be much higher in people who consumed meat and dairy than in people who did not.

Secondly, with the exception of fish, olive oil, and avocado, excessive fat consumption worsens inflammation and arthritis symptoms. A lot of the fats in the typical Western diet come from meat, dairy, and eggs, proving why plant-based diets help.

Of course, this is not always true. If you turn vegan but load your diet with vegetable oils, your arthritis symptoms will remain.

Thirdly, people who consume plant-based diets lose more weight and maintain a healthier weight than those who eat animal-based foods. This reduces the weight they load on their joints, which prevents them from deteriorating as fast as those of overweight people.

But it is not necessarily true in all cases. A vegan diet filled with white bread and other refined grains will not result in weight loss.

Also, because of all the vegetables and whole grains, plant-based diets contain more fiber and other nutrients compared to the typical Western animal-based diet. This is great for cultivating a great variety of gut bacteria which, while sounding gross, is precisely what you want.

Finally, the studies revealed people who ate mostly plants suffered from a lot less pain than people who consumed animal-based products, which could have been due to the reduction in inflammation .

Reverse Your Arthritis Without Drugs – 8 Foods that Reverse Arthritis

Two Indian researchers have just published a study in the journal Frontiers in Nutrition that reviews hundreds of previous studies on food chemicals and foods that relieve arthritis.

It pinpoints 8 types of food that have been scientifically proven to drastically improve (even heal) arthritis.

According to them, the existing research backs the following foods for arthritis relief:

1. Whole grains like barley, canary seed, corn, fonio, millet, oats, rye, sorghum, whole wheat, and wild rice. These contain lots of fiber, antioxidants, phytic acid, vitamin E, and selenium, all of which have been found to have anti-inflammatory properties.

They must be whole grains, however. Refined grains from which the bran and germ have been removed, leaving only the endosperm, have almost no nutritional value.

2. Vegetables of pretty much any form. The study does not list specific vegetables, but states that the research backs the effectiveness of a vegan diet for arthritis remission, especially if it is preceded by a one-week fasting diet during which you consume only vegetable broth, herbal teas, and vegetable juice. If this sounds too unpleasant, they do mention that vegan diets alone have a lot of research behind them, so dive straight in.

3. Fruit  contains plenty of phytochemicals that can fight off inflammation and regulate your immune system, like Anthocyanins, Resveratrol, Mangiferin, Kaempferol, p-Coumaric, bromelain, and various other polyphenols.

You can find large amounts of these in dried plums, black grapes, mangoes, grape fruit, oranges, apples, tomatoes, pineapple, and freshly home-squeezed orange juice without sugar.

4. Legumes for the fiber they contain, but especially soybeans. The latter contains a substance called Genistein, which regulates your immune system so inflammation cannot get out of control.

5. Spices, especially cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, and curcumin.

6. Tea, and especially green tea. The latter is abundant in a substance called Epigallocatechin-3, which has been found to be effective against everything from neurodegenerative diseases to arthritis.

7. Probiotics and prebiotics. Probiotics are plentiful in any fermented or bacteria-enhanced foods like yoghurt, sauerkraut, kefir, buttermilk, soy sauce, tempeh, miso, and blue cheese, while you can find prebiotics in whole grains and legumes. These seem able to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation and thereby joint stiffness and pain.
.

8. Essential Fatty Acids like Omega-6 and Omega-3 oils. For a good omega-6 oil, the study suggests Borage seed oil which has successfully been tested on arthritis patients, probably because it is the best form of gamma-linolenic acid. Black currant seed oil contains both Gamma-linolenic acid and omega-3, and has also proved effective, while fish oil is the old stand-by for fighting oxidative stress and inflammation.

But for best results to completely reverse your arthritis without drugs, you should follow the clear 3-steps found here…

Reverse Your Arthritis Without Drugs – This Power Food Cures Arthritis and Type 2 Diabetes

There is no plant like this one. It can be used to improve all diseases. You can make cream out of it to apply to skin or a tasty juice that works better than most medicine.

It has special healing properties for arthritis and type 2 diabetes.

It’s also extremely easy to grow. You hardly ever have to water it. Or if plants are not your thing, you can find its gel in every health food store.

Although aloe vera contains 99% water, the 1% left includes two extremely powerful healing substances. Glycoprotein stops inflammation and pain while polysaccharides speed up cell recovery and repair.

These anti-inflammatory properties make aloe vera an excellent plant for arthritis, both applied to the joints externally, and consumed orally.

Preparing aloe vera is easy. Cut off one leaf, slit it open sideways, and squeeze out the gel. That’s it.

For external use, apply the gel directly to the painful area. There is no risk of side effects when it is used like this.

As a drink, add a scoop of aloe vera gel into fruit juice and mix well in a blender. Start out with a tiny scoop to see how it affects you. Some people experience a drop in blood sugar, diarrhoea, and other side effects when used internally.

Side effects for one person but heaven-sent results for another. A drop in blood sugar is exactly why aloe vera is considered incredible for type 2 diabetes. Again, be careful to start slowly as this is a powerful plant.

If you don’t want to go through the hassle of growing your own aloe vera, you can find organic aloe vera gel in your local health food store.
