Home Remedies for Arthritis – An Easy Way to Improve Arthritis

When you are diagnosed with arthritis, the typical treatment involves a visit to your doctor, who then prescribes you painkillers and sends you home. This incurs the doctor’s consultation fee plus the medication costs and, worst of all, the side effects.

But the authors of a new study published in JAMA Network Open asked themselves whether this was really the only effective treatment for arthritis.

So, they set out to test another treatment option. A much healthier one. And the results were astonishing.

The researchers compared the effectiveness of an internet-based consulting treatment for knee osteoarthritis with that of routine self-management which, in most cases, involved over-the counter painkillers together with arthritis information.

They recruited 146 participants, 105 of whom were eventually included in the analysis. They were all 45 years or older with an average age of 66 and a diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis.

They were divided into two groups: one group received a smart phone app that allowed them to connect with a registered therapist who educated them and assigned them daily exercises online; the other group received a knee osteoarthritis information package, including dietary and exercise advice, after which they were left to their own devices with doctor’s visits recommended when needed.

After six weeks of these programs, the online treatment group improved their pain scores by 41%, while the self-management group improved theirs by only 6%.

But that wasn’t the only area where the online treatment group enjoyed greater benefits than the self-management group.

They improved more on a 30-second sit-to-stand test and a Timed Up-and-Go test both of which measured stiffness and knee function.

They also improved more on a series of questionnaires that measured pain, stiffness, and physical function.

These improvements were not just better than those experienced by the self-management group, they were also clinically significant, meaning that they were as good or better than anything one could expect from the best available programs and that they resulted in genuine advances in functioning.

This shows that good online information can beat most other treatment options for arthritis.

Which is no surprise to us, as our simple online Arthritis Strategy has already helped thousands of people to completely reverse their arthritis. You can access the strategy here…

Home Remedies for Arthritis – Can’t Sleep? Why Not To Worry About It

If you’ve been having trouble sleeping for a long time, you’ve probably tried all kind of tricks, pills and other gimmicks to fix this problem.

And with every method that fails, you probably grow more and more anxious about it.

After all, isn’t good sleep important to your health?

And don’t sleepless night ruin your next day?

Actually, this may be the misconceptions that are actually keeping you up. Especially if you are also suffering chronic pain. But there is an unexpected twist to this.

Researchers from the University of Warwick have just published a study in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine that explains how negative beliefs about sleep can ruin your ability to sleep.

The scientists were motivated by the fact that they could not find a reliable test to measure people’s beliefs about the relationship between insomnia and pain. They then invented their own questionnaire to do so.

They recruited people who suffered from both chronic pain and insomnia and gave them a collection of questionnaires to complete.

– The first questionnaire tested participants’ pain-related beliefs and attitudes about sleep,
– The second measured the severity of their insomnia,
– The third tested their dysfunctional beliefs about sleep,
– The fourth evaluated the level of their anxiety and preoccupation with sleep,
– The fifth tested the extent to which pain interfered with their lives.

All these questionnaires told a consistent story.

The more people in chronic pain worried about their ability to sleep and believed that the pain would prevent them from sleeping well, the worse they slept, and the worse they slept, the more they struggled to cope with their pain.

As such, negative beliefs about the relationship between pain and sleep kick off a vicious cycle in which chronic pain and insomnia exacerbate each other.

The British researchers took it one step further, giving their participants some cognitive behavioral therapy for pain and insomnia. They wanted to find out whether tackling people’s negative beliefs about sleep and pain would break this destructive cycle.

The point of cognitive behavioral therapy is to identify those of your negative beliefs that adversely affect your life and to replace them with new beliefs that will allow you to function better.

After the therapy, the study participants held more positive beliefs about the relationship between sleep and pain than before, slept better, and coped better with their pain.

The main thing is of course to be able to relax your mind and body, which leads you into a deep-deep sleep throughout the night. Here is a simple technique that does just that and works for everyone…

If chronic arthritis pain is keeping you up, use this step-by-step strategy to overcome arthritis in 28 days or less…

Home Remedies for Arthritis – The Worst Weather for Arthritis Pain

Many arthritis sufferers that one specific weather condition worsens their pain significantly, to the extent that they can even predict when it is coming.

New research from the University of Manchester now shows they’re right.

In this 18 month study, people report their level of pain directly once a day via a smart phone app.

The app also submit information of the weather conditions that prevail when the participants report their best and worst levels of pain.

The study is currently only halfway, but the scientists decided to report some preliminary findings at the recent British Science Festival in Swansea, partly because it is interesting, and partly because they are still looking for new participants to join the 9000 who have already signed up and downloaded the app.

If you are interested to sign up, the study is called “cloudy with a chance of pain” and is open to all residents of the UK who are over the age of 17.

The preliminary results are based on the inputs of participants from Leeds, Norwich, and London and show that their level of pain improved as the rain decreased from February to April, but that it worsened again in June when the amount of rain increased and the overall numbers of hours of sunshine dropped.

The researchers express the hope that a study that links pain severity to weather conditions can help people to prepare and organize their activities around the times when their pain is likely to be at its worst.

Alternatively, if there is no reason for you to be in Europe during its rainiest months, large parts of the southern hemisphere are dry and sunny from September to May.

Some previous studies have indicated that high barometric pressure and moisture may contribute to arthritis pain but, as Robert H. Shmerling, MD, the faculty editor at Harvard Health, admits after reviewing the available research, the studies are currently by no means consistent. Still, he does say that science clearly shows there is something to it.

Oddly, in a review of the research, scientists at the Arthritis Foundation draw attention to studies that show that air pressure continues to have an effect on the joints of cadavers, with one study showing that air pressure can move the ball of the hip joint by about one third of an inch.

This British study will almost certainly be the biggest of its kind once it is completed, which may add some sorely missed reliable data.

Hopefully the researchers have not interfered with their findings by releasing preliminary results and creating an expectation in participants that rain would worsen their pain.

But know what worsen pain is no help if you can’t cure it.

The good news is that thousands of people have already, completely healed their arthritis following the step-by-step strategy found here…

This post is from the Arthritis Strategy Program. It was created by Shelly Manning, a former arthritis sufferer and a health consultant.

A Brief Background on the Author

Like you, Shelly Manning also suffered from arthritis, particularly osteoarthritis. This was due to her weight and desk job. Her condition eventually took a toll on her relationship with her (former) husband.

It was when she went to Hong Kong that she met Janerdquo, an old woman who owned the restaurant where she ate. Janerdquo supposedly offered her a bowl of a weird-smelling soup, which helped ease her joint pain. She ate there each day for 10 days until she was completely healed from arthritis.

Shelly Manning decided to research this natural remedy and to create a step-by-step treatment plan to others who are suffering from different types of arthritis, such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and psoriatic arthritis.

That’s why she created “The Arthritis Step by Step Strategy.” According to her claims, this unique strategy will get rid of joint pain and stiffness, repair your damaged joints, and treat the underlying cause of your arthritis.

What is the Best Way to Completely Reverse My Arthritis Permanently?

Completely Reverse My Arthritis Permanently - If you’re suffering serious arthritis and your cartilage and bone have begun wear away, you’re probably on the waiting list for joint replacement surgery. But there could be another simpler and safer medical procedure on the horizon, as reported in the journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. A procedure that requires little more than a specific silk mat to heal your joints.

Completely Reverse My Arthritis Permanently - Arthritis Caused by This Childhood Trauma

There are many risk factors for osteoarthritis – age, gender, bodyweight, and certain jobs – this we already know!

But now the British Journal of Sports Medicine has added yet another factor, one that you probably never thought about.

And this risk factor happened at a young age.

According to the most recent research, injuries in early adulthood can also cause osteoarthritis later on in life.

Healthcare information from 149,288 subjects between 25-35 years old was collected. The group was split in two. One group had had knee injuries at some point in their lives and the other group was injury free.

The research revealed that those with knee injuries were 5.7 times more likely to develop arthritis in the knee in the subsequent 11 years after the initial injury. And after 19 years, the risk was 3.4 times higher.

In total, in the following years, 11.3 percent of the injury group was diagnosed with knee arthritis compared to 4 percent in the non-injury group.

They also found the location of the injury in the knee affected their chances of developing arthritis. For example, injuries to the knee exterior like cuts and abrasions are unlikely to cause knee arthritis in early adulthood.

The risk of knee arthritis was found to be higher in those that had suffered tears to cartilage and other inner tissues. Cruciate ligament injuries increased the risk by 19.6 percent, meniscal tears increased the risk by 10.5 percent, and kneecap fractures by 6.6 percent.

Researchers estimated that it was probably because of the biomechanical loading patterns that change in the knee joint after injuries to it – in other words it is caused by a weight imbalance as one side of the knee is forced to carry the weight of both sides.

As a result, the scientists recommended proper rehabilitation and a slow return to fitness after any injury.

Completely Reverse My Arthritis Permanently - Arthritis Joints Cured with These Silk Mats

If you’re suffering serious arthritis and your cartilage and bone have begun wear away, you’re probably on the waiting list for joint replacement surgery.

But there could be another simpler and safer medical procedure on the horizon, as reported in the journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces.

A procedure that requires little more than a specific silk mat to heal your joints.

Indian and British researchers constructed and tested materials that can replace your damaged cartilage and bone—and can even help new cartilage and bone to grow.

Their most successful experiment involved the construction of mats from silk proteins and bioactive glass fibers. Then they add your own cells in the mix.

They spin these mats with layers that resembled the softness of cartilage and the hardness of bone.

Because there are cells mixed in with the synthetic material, once it is implanted in your joint, the cells begin to duplicate while the synthetic material degrades with time.

In this way, the mats allow your body to create new cartilage and bone to replace the old damaged ones.

This has not been tested on humans or animals yet… but it could give hope to people with severe joint damage who don’t want to undergo replacement surgery.

Completely Reverse My Arthritis Permanently - Arthritis Pain Eased by This Special Type of Walking

All kinds of physical activity are helpful for people suffering from arthritis—and they’re not just about loosening up your joints.

According to a study published in the journal Clinical Interventions in Aging, one specific type of walking has now been proven more effective than other methods.

Researchers from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston compared two types of Arthritis Foundation programs:

– Walk with Ease, a walking program, and
– Breaking the Pain Chain, a program during which participants learn lifestyle methods to manage their pain.

They recruited 163 arthritis sufferers and assigned them to either one of the two programs.

Breaking the Pain Chain consisted of a 190-minute seminar to teach participants strategies and tools to identify pain triggers and manage their pain.

Walk with Ease is a 6-week walking program. It focuses on developing a walking plan that will meet your needs, stay motivated to go out walking, manage your pain, and learn to exercise safely.

Researchers found that people in the Walk with Ease group had more confidence, were emotionally more upbeat, experienced less pain, and reported less health distress than participants in the Breaking the Pain Chain group.

If you suffer arthritis, I highly recommend you contact an arthritis foundation in your area to see if there is a Walking with Ease program available—though going out regularly for a walk may be just as beneficial.

What is the Best Way to Treat Acute Arthritis?

Click on Here to Discover How You Can Completely Heal Any Type of Arthritis In 21 Days or Less

Treat Acute Arthritis - Does The Weather Affect Arthritis (cause of confusion)

Some people swear that weather makes their arthritis flare up. Others don’t seem to be affected at all.

And weirdly enough, different kind of weather appears to affect people’s arthritis in a different way.

So, what does the science say? In today’s article, we go over several studies on this subject and try to clear the confusion up once and for all.

In 2013, the journal Clinical Rheumatology published a study in which 245 arthritis patients visited a Madrid emergency room with arthritis pain 306 times between 2004 and 2007.

When the weather conditions were examined, it turned out that those patients, all of whom were aged between 50 and 65, were 16 percent more likely to experience severe pain when it was cold.

But a 2014 study in Arthritis Care & Research on 993 people in Sydney, Australia found that the temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind speed, wind gust, wind direction, and rain did not appear to have any effect on the amount of back pain that their subjects experienced. These subjects did not have arthritis but complained of severe back pain at primary care clinics.

If you aren’t confused enough, a 2015 study in the Journal of Rheumatology, conducted on 810 European participants with osteoarthritis concluded that humidity definitely worsened arthritis pain, especially in cold weather. Cold weather alone had little effect. Moreover, for the pain to worsen, high humidity had to continue for a period of days. They couldn’t find a relationship between pain and daily humidity.

BMJ printed a study in 2017 in which researchers analyzed the medical information of 1,552,842 people who had visited clinics with back or joint pains.

The subjects suffered from any condition like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylosis, intervertebral disc disorders, and so on.
They found no relationship between the pain and rain, and they did not test for temperature.

In 2016, British scientists thought they would sort through the muddle once and for all by using a smartphone app to collect data from the largest sample of participants ever. Participants submitted their self-assessed daily arthritis pain scores between January 2016 and April 2017, while the app recorded their location using GPS technology.

The researchers could then compare the scores with the weather conditions.

With more than two million data pieces available, they performed a preliminary analysis which showed that the lack of sunlight and/or rain worsened arthritis pain for people in London, Norwich, and Leeds, i.e. the three cities they had examined.

So, you can see how the studies are all over the place. Indeed, the only thing that should matter in the end would be how you feel and what you experience during the different weather changes.

Fortunately, arthritis in any weather may be a thing of the past if you follow the 3 easy steps to treat acute arthritis that are explained here…

Treat Acute Arthritis - Arthritis and Fatigue Connection Revealed

Arthritis is a serious enough disease that disrupts your life enough, but many people with this condition also experience extreme fatigue, making it impossible to lead anything close to a normal life.

A team of French scientists has just published a study in the journal Joint Bone Spine, explaining the connection between these two conditions.
And reveals a solution for both.

They analyzed the information of 962 rheumatoid arthritis patients collected by a French COMEDRA cohort study.

This information included their fatigue, which was scored out of 10; with acceptable ranging from 0-2, moderate ranging from 3-4, and severe ranging from 5-10.

It also included their demographic characteristics, social status, physical activity level, arthritis disease activity level, and co-occurring conditions.
The average fatigue score was 3.8 out of 10, with 40% of the patients reporting severe fatigue.

On average, they had 1.8 co-occurring conditions, with the most common of these conditions being anxiety/depression, something which 52% of the participants suffered from.

Depending on the statistical methods used, the most fatigued arthritis patients were female, unemployed, physically inactive, obese, and had any of the following:

1. Impaired ability to function physically.
2. More than one co-occurring condition.
3. Anxiety/depression.
4. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
5. High blood pressure.
6. Sleeping difficulties.
7. Extreme pain.
8. Long disease duration for arthritis.

The more factors they had, the worse both arthritis symptoms and fatigue tended to be.

Thus, working on reducing each of those connected factors will help improve both arthritis and fatigue.

I can relate to this. There are often times when my arthritis was so bad that I felt lightheaded and absent, and I couldn’t even communicate with other people.

But after I managed to reverse my arthritis, I have never experienced any of these symptoms of fatigue again.

Here are the 3 steps I took to treat acute arthritis that helped me to completely reverse my long-lasting arthritis in 21 days…

Treat Acute Arthritis - One Arthritis Factor Spikes It 36%

A new study from Iceland and Sweden, and published in JAMA reveals one factor that can increase the risk of arthritis by a scary 36%.

What’s more, by managing this factor, you may be able to avoid arthritis flare-ups.

To get their data, they analyzed information collected by a population- and sibling-matched retrospective study performed in Sweden between 1981 and 2013.

The subjects included 106,464 people with stress-related disorders, 1,064,640 people who matched them on most characteristics but who were free from stress-related conditions, and 126,652 siblings of people from both groups.

They also used the National Patient Register to identify cases of stress-related conditions and autoimmune diseases.

During the 10-year follow-up period, people with stress diagnoses were 36% more likely develop an autoimmune disorder when compared their peers without stress diagnoses.

Those with post traumatic stress disorder were 46% more likely to develop these conditions compared to their peers, and more than twice as likely to have three or more autoimmune conditions as compared to those without stress-related conditions.

Post-traumatic stress disorder was the most damaging of all the stress-related conditions.

The study is disturbing as it shows that, on top of a condition like post-traumatic stress disorder, which is already life altering, you are at an increased risk of developing another life-altering condition, like rheumatoid arthritis.

The authors speculated that this could be due to a combination of increased cortisol levels and increased circulating pro-inflammatory cytokines, both of which drastically increase the risk of arthritis.

Most of us who have suffered from arthritis can, however, bear witness to the fact that symptoms often worsen when we’re under a lot of stress.

The lowering cortisol level with the use of simple relaxation exercises can be very beneficial to arthritis, even if you don’t suffer stress disorders.

Reverse Arthritis in Fingers and Knees - An Old Method that Reverses Arthritis in 8 Weeks

According to a new study published in IOS Press, there is one thing that defines the treatment of arthritis. Without it, all drugs in the world wouldn’t help.

Interestingly, through testing an old, natural healing method, the subject not only improved this factor but they also drastically improved all markers of arthritis.

Sufferers of arthritis are more prone to depression than the general public. And without addressing the depression of the sufferers, their arthritis won’t improve no matter what.

Now, while you might not experience clinical depression, this article will also apply to you if you endure arthritis.

Given these findings, these scientists decided to test the effects of yoga on both depression and arthritis by comparing a group who had received yoga with one that did not.

They placed half of their 72 subjects on an intensive eight-week yoga program.

Both before the yoga program and after its completion, the researchers collected blood samples from all 72 subjects to test for inflammatory markers.

They also used a scientific measure called a Disease activity score 28 erythrocyte sedimentation rate (DAS28ESR) to assess the disease activity at the beginning and the end of the eight weeks, along with a health assessment questionnaire disability index at those same times to check how functional the subjects were.

They gave their subjects something called the Beck Depression Inventory II scale every two weeks throughout the study to monitor their depression levels.

What they discovered was remarkable:

1. Unlike the non-yoga group, the yoga group’s depression levels improved throughout the study at every stage that it was tested.
2. The yoga group had substantially lower inflammatory chemicals in their blood than the non-yoga group.
3. The yoga group’s arthritis was a lot less active when compared to that of the non-yoga group was.
4. The yoga group was more functional and less disabled when compared to the non-yoga group was.
5. Those whose depression lifted the most also experienced the greatest arthritis relief.

As that wasn’t enough:

The cells of yoga participants were healthier and aged slower. Their immune systems were better regulated to fight off infections without needlessly attacking the harmless joint tissue. Their nerve cells showed an increased ability to adjust and form neural connections to compensate for the disease (an ability scientist call Neuroplasticity).

It must be noted that the yoga regiment was intense, lasting 120 minutes for five days a week, a schedule that most people would be likely to complain about. But the benefits are worth it.

Reverse Arthritis in Fingers and Knees - Arthritis Caused By This Huge Food Group

Osteoarthritis is sometimes called wear-and-tear arthritis.

It occurs when the cartilage in your joints wears away and causes the surrounding bones to rub against each other.

The medical system claims that this is caused by a strain on the joints, like working in jobs that require carrying heavy loads, or being under the strain of too much body weight.

However, a new study revealed that a specific food group – one almost all of us consume too much of – may be the biggest contributor to Osteoarthritis.

And cutting down on this specific type of food could reverse joint pain.
Initially, scientists wanted to study the effects between a high and low fat diet and its effect on the development of osteoarthritis in mice.

Thus, they put the mice on diets containing various amounts of fat and tested the mice’s knee joints over time.

Predictably, they found that higher dietary fat increased fatty acid metabolic enzymes inside the mice’s joint cartilage, a change that can gave rise to arthritis.

But the more interesting finding was that the mice on low-fat diets were no safer from osteoarthritis, due to the high amounts of carbohydrates in their diets.

In fact, when they put the mice on high carbohydrate diets, those with a normal body weight and those who were obese had the same risk for arthritis, showing that weight alone was not the culprit.

When the scientists increased the amount of sucrose (table sugar) in their diets, the mice showed an increase in joint inflammation – a clear sign of arthritis.

Reverse Arthritis in Fingers and Knees - Arthritis Worsened 67% Due To This Childhood Trauma

Children are extremely vulnerable. And this sets them up for trauma that can harm them for the rest of their lives.

A study has just appeared in the journal Rheumatology that reveals that if you suffer from arthritis, it’s very likely caused being exposed in a specifically harmful situation as a child.

In fact, this trauma increases your risk of arthritis by up to 67%.
This study started out innocently enough.

A team of French scientists wanted to know how much smoking could increase our risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis by.

To find out, they followed 98,995 women between 1990 and now, collecting questionnaires from them every two to three years.

These questionnaires included information regarding their health, any medical events they might have experienced, their environments, and their lifestyle details. They also had to report their arthritis diagnoses and medication.

Complete information was available for 71,248 of the women, with 371 of them reporting rheumatoid arthritis.

Unsurprisingly, active smokers were 38% more likely to develop arthritis than non-smokers, but this was where the predictability ended.

When they separated the active smokers, who were exposed to secondhand smoke as children, from active smokers who had not been so exposed, they found a difference.

Active smokers who received second hand smoke while they were children were also found to be 67% more likely to develop arthritis than active smokers whose parents had not smoked.

Most surprisingly, people who had never smoked but whose parents exposed them to second hand smoke as children were 43% more likely to have arthritis than people who had never smoked and who had not been exposed to second hand smoke as children.

In other words, passive smoking around a child during their adolescence and active smoking were estimated to be equally harmful when it comes to getting arthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis also kicked in earlier in people who had taken in passive smoke as children.

Now, regardless of whether second hand smoking contributed to your arthritis, the main question would be how can you heal it today?
