What is the Best Way to Completely Reverse Gout Naturally?

If you have been diagnosed with gout, you have probably been told to cut down on acidic food like meat, which is not bad advice. But a study published in the latest edition of JAMA Network Open reveals the #1 cause of gout. Without addressing this one factor, all other methods are in vain. The good news is that this factor can be fixed easily, using simple lifestyle changes to completely reverse gout naturally.

Completely Reverse Gout Naturally – This Leaf Heals Gout (better than drugs)

In a new study, this leaf was proven to be just as effective as leading gout drugs, but without any side effects.

What’s more, if you’re lucky enough, this leaf may grow wild near you. If not, you can get extracts with the same benefits at your local health food store.

This study was presented in the Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Sustainable Innovation 2020: Health Science and Nursing.

Very few people have heard of a plant called Acalypha indica L., even if I use its better-known name: anting-anting.

Some people also call it Indian Copperleaf, Indian Mercury, or Indian Nettle.

It occurs naturally in tropical locations like Indian Ocean islands, West Africa, North Africa, and even in India, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. It doesn’t even have to be farmed, and it grows absolutely anywhere with disturbed soil.

It is especially rich in flavonoids, which drew the attention of the researchers responsible for this new study.

In particular, it contains plenty of quercetin and kaempferol, two flavonoids that the team noted have been linked to a reduction in uric acid.

Since uric acid is responsible for causing gout, they thought that anting-anting leaf could be a good candidate as a gout treatment.

To explore this question, they obtained an ethanol extract of anting-anting leaf and enrolled 25 rats in their study.

They divided the rats into five groups:

1. A group that was not given any medication.

2. A group that received allopurinol, one of the most common drugs that doctors prescribe for gout.

3. A group that received 3.15 grams of extract per kilogram of body weight (g/kgBW).

4. A group that received 6.3 g/kgBW of extract.

5. A group that received 12.6 g/kgBW of extract.

The researchers first measured the uric acid levels in all the rats, after which they induced high uric acid levels in all 25 rats by injecting them with caffeine.

They then measured the rats’ uric acid again. They administered the treatments for nine days, during which they kept on measuring the rats’ uric acid levels.

They performed the last uric acid measurements more than a week after the treatments ended.

Based on all this information, they determined that both the 3.15 and the 6.3 g/kgBW doses of anting-anting extract worked to lower uric acid—but the star of the show was the 12.6 g/kgBW dose that was given to group 5.

This amount of anting-anting worked just as well as the allopurinol that was given to group 2. This drug is usually given to people with gout.

The only problem that now remains is that this extract is not commercially available. If future studies confirm these findings on human subjects, it might become available.

Until then, you will have to settle for quercetin and kaempferol, the two flavonoids that are probably responsible for most of the effect.

You can find quercetin in commercially available capsules and in green tea, red wine, onions, apples, and berries.

Kaempferol is abundant in kale, spinach, broccoli, beans, and tea.

But an even simpler way to completely reverse gout naturally is to follow the few little steps explained here…

Gout’s #1 Cause Discovered (completely reverse gout naturally)

If you have been diagnosed with gout, you have probably been told to cut down on acidic food like meat, which is not bad advice.

But a study published in the latest edition of JAMA Network Open reveals the #1 cause of gout. Without addressing this one factor, all other methods are in vain.

The good news is that this factor can be fixed easily, using simple lifestyle changes to completely reverse gout.

A team led by researchers from the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School examined previous studies finding that a high blood urate level was the primary causal factor behind gout.

In addition, they reviewed studies showing that high urate levels could be lowered by tackling obesity, unhealthy diet, alcohol consumption, and diuretic use.

These two facts prompted them to examine exactly how many gout cases could be prevented by addressing these four factors. They designed a new study to find out.

They mined the Health Professionals Follow-up Study for data. This is a study of 51,529 male health professionals who were recruited in 1986 and had submitted a questionnaire every two years on their health, diets, and lifestyle habits.

The authors of the new study excluded subjects who had gout at the beginning of the study and for whom information was incomplete. Eventually they had a sufficiently large sample of 44,654 subjects.

They checked which of these subjects developed gout between 1986 and 2015.

1. Obese men with a BMI of 30 and up were 265% more likely to develop gout than those with BMI scores lower than 23.

2. Compared to those with BMI scores below 23, those with a BMI of 25–29 had an increased risk of 90% and those with a BMI of 23–24.9 had an elevated risk of 29%.

3. Diuretic use increased the subjects’ risk of gout by 210%.

4. Men who consumed at least five grams of alcohol per day were 20–110% more likely to develop gout, depending on the amount they drank.

5. Those who ate the perfect DASH diet with vegetables, fruit, low-fat dairy, and very little red meat were 26% less likely to develop gout than those who scored the worst on the DASH diet.

This means that 77% of these gout cases could have been prevented by having a BMI below 25, following the DASH diet, and refraining from diuretics and alcohol.

But here are the most important findings. DASH dieting and abstaining from diuretics and alcohol could have prevented 79% of cases among men with a BMI of less than 23, 69% of cases among men with a BMI of 23–24.9, 59% of cases among men with a BMI of 25–29, but only 5% of cases among men with a BMI over 30.

This shows clearly that weight is the single most important thing you must tackle to prevent gout. If you do everything else right but are still obese, your efforts will most probably be in vain.

But the scientist didn’t actually test for the real cause of gout. Because this cause isn’t well-known. But it’s one that’s very easy to completely reverse gout naturally —so you can cure gout for good, as I explain here…

And if you need to lose weight, you can do that in a breeze using the third element of weight loss. I explain this all here…

Completely Reverse Gout Naturally – The Misdiagnosis of GOUT

Gout is often treated as an afterthought in the medical system. Rather than a stand-alone disease, it is considered a consequence of one or more coexisting diseases.

Doctors therefore tend to focus on the primary disease rather than gout, leaving gout mistreated at best.

But a new study from the University of Gothenburg, Lund University, and the University of Auckland reveals that gout is much more serious than previously thought—and this changes everything about diagnosing and treating it.

The researchers consulted a Swedish population-based health survey to find people with gout and to investigate what co-occurring conditions they had. They were specifically interested in obesity, high blood pressurehigh cholesterol and other fats, cardiovascular diseasediabeteskidney dysfunction, pulmonary dysfunction, smoking, and the use of diuretics.

With all of this health data at hand, they could divide their gout subjects into five distinct clusters.

1. Cluster 1 had no serious comorbidities. There were 16,063 people in this cluster.

2. All of the subjects in cluster 2 had kidney dysfunction but none had cardiovascular disease. There were 750 people in this cluster.

3. All of the subjects in cluster 3 had cardiovascular disease and 74% of them were smokers. There were 528 people in this cluster.

4. Cluster 4 had the highest percentage of obese people (34%) and 74% of them had high cholesterol or other fats in their blood. There were 3,673 people in this cluster.

5. In cluster 5, 51% had diabetes, 54% had high blood pressure, and 52% used diuretics. There were 1,043 people in this cluster.

So, what can we learn from this?

1. 73% of people with gout have either no comorbidities or few that are serious.

2. 17% of people with gout have a problem with obesity, cholesterol, or high blood fats.

This does not mean that the people with no or few comorbidities would not have developed comorbidities later, of course. But it does at least serve as a warning to basically healthy people that they should not discount gout as something that cannot happen to them.

This shows that gout is usually a stand-alone independent disease that needs to be addressed on its own.

Completely Get Rid of Gout in a Few Days – How Gout Kills (very serious)

It is easy to think of gout as a painful but less serious type of arthritis.

But a study just published in The Lancet Rheumatology shows why we should not think of gout as less serious in any way.

To the contrary, it is serious and potentially deadly in its own right.

A large research team conducted a review of the existing literature on the relationship between cardiovascular disease and the two forms of inflammatory arthritis: rheumatoid arthritis and gout.

Although osteoarthritis, from which many people begin to suffer as they age, also involves some level of inflammation, inflammation is not as central to it as it is in rheumatoid arthritis and gout. It involves damage due to the wear and tear of joints and the inflammation only creeps in later.

The traditional risk factors for cardiovascular disease include race, sex, age, high blood pressurehigh cholesterol, smoking, and diabetes. But in the last few years, researchers have started adding risk factors like systemic inflammation and, of course, arthritis and gout.

According to the studies they surveyed, people with rheumatoid arthritis have up to twice the risk for atherosclerosis that people without arthritis have. Their heart attack and heart failure risks are doubled, their chance of suffering a stroke increases by 50 percent, and they are 54 percent more likely to die early, with a life expectancy reduced by between six and seven years.

The research on gout is equally bad.

1. People with gout are twice as likely as people without it to have high blood pressure.

2. Gout sufferers are more likely than the general population to be obese, with an increased risk of 60 percent versus 44 percent.

3. Gout sufferers are twice as likely to have high cholesterol.

4. While eight percent of the non-gout population has diabetes, 26 percent of the gout population does.

5. By the time gout is diagnosed, patients already have a 33 percent greater chance of having heart disease, and this risk increases as the gout sets in and progresses.

6. People with elevated urate in their blood have a greater risk for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, even if they don’t yet suffer from gout.

7. While the occurrence of congestive heart failure is two percent in the non-gout population, it is 10 percent in the gout population.

8. People with gout are 29 percent more likely to die of heart disease than people without gout.

The researchers attributed these findings primarily to inflammation.

Chronic systemic inflammation is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and inflammation is precisely the mechanism behind gout.

Completely Get Rid of Gout in a Few Days – This Plant Compound Combats Gout

Gout is extremely painful and potentially disabling when many or large joints are affected.

This is why a new study in the British Journal of Pharmacology is so promising, as it shows that a natural organic compound found in almost all supermarkets works as well as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs to treat gout.

The scientists injected monosodium urate directly into the ankle joints to cause gout.

They then tested the amount of inflammatory chemicals and reactive oxitive species in these joints, together with the pain and edema from which the mice suffered.

To treat the mice, they injected eucalyptol into their ankle joints and then repeated all the physiological tests.

Their most important finding was that the eucalyptol worked just as well as indomethacin to prevent edema and pain. Indomethacin is the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is usually prescribed to treat moderate to severe arthritisgout, and ankylosing spondylitis.

If you are wondering how they tested pain in mice, who obviously can’t report their own pain levels, they used the concept of mechanical pain – the extent to which the mice did and could use their damaged joints.

The eucalyptol also reduced the infiltration of inflammatory immune cells into the gout-affected joints and inhibited the production and activation of other inflammatory substances.

It lastly reduced oxitive damage, as evidenced by an increase in the activity of antioxidant enzymes and a reduction of reactive oxitive species.

In fact, when they used antioxidant drugs instead, these fared no better than the eucalyptol.

The most effective way to use eucalyptol is in the form of an essential oil.

Because of its potency and the other chemicals, it contains, it is not a good idea to inject eucalyptus essential oil straight into your gout-affected joints.

For now, you will have to settle for topical application, or you can do essential oil inhalation for about 30 minutes.

Completely Get Rid of Gout in a Few Days – But although eucalyptol essential oil can be helpful, it’s not going to cure your gout. To do that, you need to follow the simple steps explained here…

Completely Get Rid of Gout in a Few Days – Why Are GOUT Cases Spiking and What You Can Do About It?

The prevalence of gout is increasing along with the unhealthy lifestyle factors that cause it.

The journal Arthritis & Rheumatology has just published a study that traces the increase of gout from 1990 to 2017 worldwide.

This study doesn’t just reveal the increase in gout cases but also the factors that are causing it. Factors that you can use to reverse your gout.

To carry out their investigation, a large team of scientists from various countries used data collected by the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study in 2017. It included data from 195 countries and territories.

In 2017, there were approximately 41.2 million active cases of gout worldwide, with 7.4 million new cases per year and 1.3 million years of disability per year due to gout.

This means that there were 510.6 cases per 100,000 people and 91.8 new annual cases per 100,000 people.

This represents a 7.2 percent increase in prevalence from 1990 to 2017, and a 5.5 percent increase in new cases per year from 1990 to 2017.

If these numbers don’t make sense to you, remember that many people with gout have since died, otherwise the prevalence would obviously have been much higher.

The study also shows that the prevalence and the new cases are increasing more quickly as time goes on, regardless of all the information that is now available through the Internet, for example.

The study also shows that years of disability have increased by 7.2 percent since 1990.

Gout tends to be a disease that is still found most often in developed countries. The largest gout burden is found in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States.

The highest increases in prevalence between 1990 and 2017 were in the United States, Canada, and Oman.

This should be unsurprising, as some of the foods that cause high uric acid and thereby gout are a tad expensive, such as red meat, organ meats, and seafood.

High body mass index accounted for 32.4 percent of the years of disability due to gout, while impaired kidney function could explain 15.3 percent.

The research found that gout was most common in men and in upper-middle-aged and elderly people.

Some gout risk factors are not easily or sensibly modifiable, such as being male, the inevitability of aging, and your genetic makeup.

But most of the other causes are modifiable—and it is therefore possible to prevent the prevalence of gout from skyrocketing like this.

High body weight is alterable through regular exercise and healthy dieting, and so are the primary causes of kidney disease, namely, high blood pressure and diabetes.

High alcohol consumption (especially beer), a high-purine diet, high sugar intake, and blood pressure medications are all avoidable.

Gout: What to Eat and What to Skip to Lower Your Uric Acid

For the management of gout, the American College of Rheumatology just released its 2020 guidelines—or guideline; the only recommendation is for people to lower their uric acid levels.

And while the American College of Rheumatology wants us to do this by using drugs, we will instead give you some advice of what to eat and what to avoid to lower your uric acid.

Uric acid is produced when our bodies break down a chemical called purine, which occurs naturally in the human body and in many foods, especially protein-rich ones.

Another important thing to know is that uric acid is eliminated from the body in urine.

To control your uric acid, do as many as possible of the following:

1. Drink plenty of water or other non-sugary non-alcoholic liquids to stay hydrated because frequent urination removes uric acid from the body.

2. Drink regular caffeinated coffee in moderation; some studies show that caffeine helps to control gout. If caffeine worsens your gout, or if you have some gastrointestinal condition, ignore this recommendation.

3. Eat cherries, which some studies show reduce the risk of gout attacks.

4. Consume vitamin C-rich foods or supplements. Think citrus, kale, spinach, asparagus, broccoli, sweet green and red peppers, mango, strawberries, and other berries.

5. Consume your animal proteins in the form of chicken, lean beef, pork, and low-fat dairy.

6. Salmon is the safest omega-3–rich fish, which you need.

7. Eat whole grains, nuts, seeds, all fruits, all vegetables, and all legumes. Yes, legumes contain purines but far less than animal products do, and you must obtain protein from somewhere.

8. Asparagus and spinach are two vegetables that are rich in purines and are usually listed on the avoidance list. But most studies show that they don’t increase gout attacks, possibly because of their high vitamin C levels.

To control your uric acid, avoid as many as possible of the following:

1. Avoid sugary foods and drinks because sugar leads to an increased production of uric acid and gut bacteria that produce uric acid. This includes sweetened cereals, sweetened fruit juices, sodas, ice cream, candy, cakes, and bakery treats.

2. Avoid excessive alcohol. Some studies show that wine is fine but listen to your body and do what works for you.

3. Fish is healthful, but the fattiest fish (like anchovies, sardines, tuna, herring, trout, mackerel, and shellfish) contain too much purine to be safe.

4. Avoid organ meats like liver, kidney, sweetbreads, and brain.

5. You don’t have to avoid red meat but limit your intake and choose the lean cuts and not bacon, sausages, or minced meat. Avoid game meat.

6. Avoid nutritional yeast, brewer’s yeast, and other yeast products.

Lower Your Uric Acid – To completely cure gout, you will need to do more than reduce your uric acid intake, as I’ll explain here…

Lower Your Uric Acid – How Gout Causes Heart Failure

Gout is a condition that affects the joints. How in the world can it cause heart attacks and strokes?

This was a question asked in a new study published in the journal Arthritis Research & Therapy.

And even more importantly, how can you heal gout and prevent strokes and heart attacks?

The researchers investigated this relationship in two different samples of participants.

They first analyzed data collected from 5,713 people who were enrolled in the Reasons for Geographic And Racial Differences in Stroke (REGARDS) study between 2003 and 2007. They were all 65 years and older and had no history of coronary heart disease, stroke, or heart failure.

At enrollment, the participants were given a physical examination and questionnaires to record their sociodemographic information, dietary habits, and medication use.

Among the participants, 3.3 percent had gout, with gout sufferers being more likely than nonsufferers to be older, black, male, overweight, diabetic, hypertensive, and suffering from chronic kidney disease.

Those with gout were 97 percent more likely to be hospitalized with heart failure than those without gout. This held true for both men and women.

The researchers then obtained claims data for 29,753 randomly selected Medicare beneficiaries from 2008 to 2015 and analyzed their records for the same conditions.

Here, they also found that gout sufferers were more likely to be hospitalized with heart failure.

This study is important because it shows that people with gout have a risk of heart failure, even if they don’t have any other risk factors, like smoking, obesity, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, and diabetes.

From previously published studies, the scientists speculated that systemic inflammation and/or insulin resistance may play a role because they are both involved in gout and heart failure.

Both inflammation and insulin resistance are modifiable through diet, regular physical activity and adequate sleep, so you may want to tackle those if you’re currently struggling with gout.
