Completely Overcome My Arthritis in 28 Days - Drop This to Reverse Arthritis

There is a common habit that doubles your risk of arthritis. Surprisingly, even doing this habit “moderately” creates the same risk.

This is according to a new study from Karolinska Institute in Sweden, published in the Arthritis Journal and Therapy.

The good news is if you change this one habit, you can drastically improve your arthritis, and you may feel the difference within a matter of days.

A recent study published in the Arthritis Journal and Therapy reveals that smoking significantly increases the risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis.

Researchers clarify that many previous studies showed the direct link between heavy smoking and the increased risk of this autoimmune disorder.

However, this is the first study ever conducted to observe if light smoking has the same effect of inducing the development of arthritis.

This mega-study was conducted by following 30,000 women (aged 54 to 89) throughout a period of seven years. During this long-lasting research study, participants were asked various questions about their diet, lifestyle, and smoking habits, including frequency and history of smoking.

After summarizing the study results, the researchers discovered that as few as just one to seven cigarettes per day more than doubled (2.31 times) the chance of developing rheumatoid arthritis, compared to the study participants who never engaged in this unhealthy habit.

Completely Overcome My Arthritis in 28 Days - The Arthritis Warning Sound

If you hear this sound, you had better run for shelter. Because a new study published in the journal Arthritis Care and Research reveals it’s a clear sign of arthritis in the making.

Most of us ignore this sound as something normal or unimportant, but nothing is further from the truth.

Crepitus is when you hear grating, cracking, or popping sounds around your joints. It is something that most of us consider unimportant, but as this study shows, when it happens frequently, it can be problematic.

The scientists analyzed the data of 3,495 people collected by the Osteoarthritis Initiative study.

None of them had symptoms of knee osteoarthritis at the beginning of the study.

The scientists looked at knee radiographs and pain questionnaires taken on commencement of the study and several times thereafter up to 48 months later.

In addition, they asked the participants about the frequency and severity of crepitus at the beginning of the study, and again after 12, 24, and 36 months.

With all this information at hand, the researchers could compare the crepitus scores with the radiographs and pain scores to see whether the former were meaningless or whether they predicted arthritis.

The chance that the subjects developed symptomatic arthritis increased along with an increase in the frequency of their crepitus.

This was especially true for those whose radiographs showed osteoarthritis at the beginning of the study, even while they were in no pain at all.

This means that you should not wait until the pain starts if you experience frequent cracking or grinding sounds in your knees.

You can ask your doctor to take a radiograph to establish whether or not you have arthritis, and then start treating it immediately before the pain even kicks in.

Immediate weight loss, healthy dieting, and gentle joint exercises work best if they are started before arthritis takes hold.

Completely Overcome My Arthritis in 28 Days - Important Arthritis Factor Discovered

When treating arthritis, we most often focus on inflammation and cartilage buildup. Maybe you’d think of relaxing the muscles or adjusting the bones.

But a study recently published in Arthritis Care Research reveals a new factor. One that most doctors don’t ever think about when it comes to arthritis.

This factor can however make or break your arthritis recovery as well as the rest of your life.

Researchers identified 2,287 people with knee osteoarthritis of approximately the same severity (Kellgren/Lawrence grade two or three).

They used the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale to assess depressive symptoms in each of the patients at their annual doctor’s visit.

They then used the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) pain scale to measure the amount of pain from which they suffered in the year after their depression test.

The study ran for four years during which these tests were carried out four times each.

Once the study was completed, they found that the existence or severity of depression symptoms did not influence the amount of pain from which the patients suffered in the subsequent year.

Depressed and non-depressed patients, and severely depressed and mildly depressed patients, experienced roughly the same amount of pain.

But those who had struggled with depression for the longest period suffered the most, while those whose depression was intermittent or recent suffered the least.

Based on these findings, the authors recommend that depression be treated as a part of routine clinical practice for arthritis patients, as their experience of their condition is so strongly influenced by it.

Interestingly, it seems that the arthritis pain actually causes the depression and people who manage to reverse their arthritis most often experience great mood-uplifting in the process (not so surprising).

This post is from the Arthritis Strategy Program. It was created by Shelly Manning, a former arthritis sufferer and a health consultant.

A Brief Background on the Author

Like you, Shelly Manning also suffered from arthritis, particularly osteoarthritis. This was due to her weight and desk job. Her condition eventually took a toll on her relationship with her (former) husband.

It was when she went to Hong Kong that she met Janerdquo, an old woman who owned the restaurant where she ate. Janerdquo supposedly offered her a bowl of a weird-smelling soup, which helped ease her joint pain. She ate there each day for 10 days until she was completely healed from arthritis.

Shelly Manning decided to research this natural remedy and to create a step-by-step treatment plan to others who are suffering from different types of arthritis, such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and psoriatic arthritis.

That’s why she created “The Arthritis Step By Step Strategy.” According to her claims, this unique strategy will get rid of joint pain and stiffness, repair your damaged joints, and treat the underlying cause of your arthritis.

Shelly teamed up with Christian Goodman, the owner of Blue Heron Health News, a publishing company that aims to help people to take responsibility for their own health by using natural health alternatives for preventing arthritis in fingers and knees naturally.

Completely Cure My Arthritis in 21 Days - Arthritis Reversed with This Common Oil

Arthritis sufferer’s number in the millions, so anything that helps them to reduce the pain of this debilitating condition is always welcome.

A recent study from Sweden may now have found something that does that.

Researchers found that a commonly available oil could be the key to stopping existing arthritis and even preventing it from getting started in the first place.

Dr. Daniela Di Giuseppe was lead author on the study from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, and she claims that a simple fish oil can make all the difference when it comes to combating rheumatoid arthritis.

The study followed subjects for more than a decade, and over that time it was learnt that the habit that correlated most with a lower likelihood of developing RA was high consumption of Omega 3 fatty acids. Simply put, those who ate the most fish had the lowest incidences of RA and other inflammatory process diseases.

Dr Di Giuseppe described this as the “protective effect” of Omega 3s on bodily tissues. It’s long been thought that Omega 3 fatty acids played a major role in joint health and the inflammation process, but this is the first time that conclusive proof of a connection has been found.

Fish and fish supplements contain Omega 3 fatty acids while Western diets often contain too much Omega 6 fatty acid, overpowering omega-3’s by a ratio of nearly 20 to 1. The majority of experts think that the ratio of the two in our diets should be more like 2 to 1.

With such a huge differential, it’s no wonder that inflammation has free rein in the body. With RA, this makes the body’s immune system turn on itself, attacking and degrading tissues, leading to pain and disability. But what this study has shown is that if Omega 3 and Omega 6 are balanced correctly it can have tremendous health benefits.

It’s nice to hear about this study because Omega 3 has long been a part of our plan, the same one that’s already helped thousands of people to beat arthritis without resorting to the unpleasantness and expense of medications.

Completely Cure My Arthritis in 21 Days - Arthritis? Cut Your Death Risk by 50% By Dumping This Habit

If you have been diagnosed with arthritis, you can cut your risk of dying 50% by cutting out one bad habit. This is according to a new study published in Arthritis Care and Research.

We all know this habit is bad, but it’s particularly bad for arthritics. In fact, you’re 37% more likely to die than non-arthritics with the same bad habit.

The research team wanted to answer two questions:

Are smoking arthritis patients more likely to die than smoking non-arthritics?

Does giving up smoking soon after an arthritis diagnosis cut the risk of death?

They used the long-term Nurse’s Health Study to identify 938 arthritis patients and 8,951 age-matched non-arthritics to compare them against.

They also gave their participants a questionnaire to examine their smoking and other potentially relevant behaviors.

They found that 40% of newly diagnosed arthritics quit smoking and, after comparing them with the 36% of the non-arthritics who quit at approximately the same time, they found that both groups experienced the same benefits with the same subsequent mortality rate.

Compared with those who continued smoking, the quitters reduced their chance of death by between 42% and 53%.

In other words, arthritis patients who had given up smoking were no more likely than non-arthritic former smokers to die in subsequent years, but 42-53% less likely than continued smokers to die.

But the real interesting finding was that smoking arthritis patients were 37% more likely to die than smoking non-arthritics were. Therefore, smoking is worse for rheumatoid arthritis patients than for their healthy peers.

Completely Cure My Arthritis in 21 Days - Arthritis Joints Protected by This Breakfast

You know it’s healthy, delicious and simple to make. But now you have the most important reason for eating this breakfast backed up by a new study from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen in Nürnberg, Germany.

It will directly protect your bones and joints from detraining if you suffer arthritis.

Like that wasn’t enough, it also produces cells that directly fight autoimmune diseases like arthritis.

In the experiment on mice, published in the journal Nature Communications, researchers discovered that the gut bacteria’s response to a high-fiber diet slows down bone and joint degradation.

This is how it works:

When your intestinal bacteria break down fiber, short-chain fatty acids are created as a by-product of the fermentation process.

When you eat a lot of fiber, it changes your intestinal bacteria in a way that even more short-chain fatty acids are produced than usual.

The more short-chain fatty acids of propionate and butyrate that you have in your bones, bone marrow, and joints, the fewer bone degrading cells you have, and the slower your bones degrade.

In addition to preventing bone degradation, these short-chain fatty acids also increase your regulatory T cells (called Tregs) that, in turn, modulate your over-active immune system so that it leaves your joints alone. Tregs are your body’s best defense against autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

Scientists reached this conclusion via three separate, but related, studies:

They gave the mice the short-chain fatty acids propionate and butyrate in their drinking water.

They transplanted bacteria from the genus Prevotella, previously found to be anti-arthritic, to the intestines of arthritic mice.

They gave the mice a high-fiber diet.

All three of these experiments supported the four findings above.
The scientists did not propose a specific diet, but suggested that muesli for breakfast is a good start followed by fruit and vegetables throughout the day.

Completely Reverse Your Arthritis - Arthritis Caused by this Destructive Emotion

There are plenty of studies that show how depression contributes to poor health in elderly people. Emotions can have powerful effects on the physical body, as seen in cases where spouses die within days of each other.

Depression can be destructive, and it seems like the sadder you are, the more likely you are to have physical ailments too. So, it should come as no surprise that arthritis is made worse by strong emotions.

A new study in the journal, Psychology and Aging shows that anger is actually a more destructive emotion than sadness during old age because it increases our risk of inflammation.

The study’s authors collected health information from 226 people living in Montréal, Canada. They had them do a questionnaire to record their age-related chronic illnesses, and blood samples to record the most common inflammatory markers, interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein.

Crucially, they also spent a week recording how angry or sad they felt, to see if there was a link between stronger emotions and those inflammatory markers, as this might show a link to chronic health conditions like arthritis, heart disease, cancer, etc.

They divided their participants into two age groups: those in early old-age between 59 and 79 years, and those in advanced old age—80 and older.

Not surprisingly, they found that those participants who were angrier than their peers had higher levels of the pro-inflammatory chemical interleukin-6 in their blood. And if they were over 80, they were also more likely to suffer from chronic conditions like arthritis, too.

It’s interesting that the 59 to 79-year-olds didn’t suffer the same effects from daily anger, and that daily sadness didn’t affect either group in the same way either.

It’s also interesting that the sad people had lower levels of inflammation and fewer chronic conditions. Sadness just didn’t seem to be treating them as badly.

Psychologists call this effect the discrete emotion theory of affective aging. This says that the angrier you are as you get older, the more destructive the effects on your body. Sadness does less damage, and they think that it might even be helpful.

So, why does this happen?

The idea behind this theory is that our physical and mental abilities decline as we get older. We can’t do the same things that we once enjoyed, so we stop playing the piano, running marathons, hitchhiking, or whatever else we thought was fun, because our joints hurt, our memories go, and doing them becomes too difficult.

As a result, we either become angry or sad. The sad people grieve for the things they used to enjoy, while the angry people carry on trying to do them and get increasingly irate when they can’t.

Anger isn’t all bad, and it does have its uses. It can motivate and energize people in early old age to continue with their activities, but when their bodies let them down in advanced old age, this anger becomes toxic.

When that happens it’s much healthier to disengage from favorite activities and replace them with others. Sad is better than angry for your health.

Completely Reverse Your Arthritis - Arthritis Caused By Bacteria in These Popular Foods

A new study from the University of Central Florida published in the journal Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology reveals amazing news for arthritis patients.

It can lead to a complete cure for your disease by cutting out just a couple of food items – maybe even temporarily.

Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis, or simply MAP is a common bacterium that appears in about half of the cows that provide our milk and beef.

One of the scientists in the team had previously found that people with Crohn’s disease were infected with MAP, and since rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn’s disease stem from the same genetic variants and are often treated with the same immunosuppressive drugs, they wondered whether MAP was involved in rheumatoid arthritis too.

They examined 100 arthritic patients and discovered that 78% of them have the same genetic mutation as people with Crohn’s disease. It is in a gene called PTPN2/22.

Of these, 40% were infected with MAP.

From these findings, they concluded that people with a PTPN2/22 mutation who are then exposed to MAP have a higher risk than the general population to develop rheumatoid arthritis.

Being medical scientists, they are obviously thinking in the direction of treating people with rheumatoid arthritis with antibiotics, as doctors have already started doing with Crohn’s disease patients.

But since there are already so many antibiotics around in the world that bacteria are increasingly becoming resistant to them, it is hardly a good idea to stuff more of them into our bodies.

Moreover, as with Crohn’s disease, antibiotics against MAP may not stop the arthritis, but simply control the symptoms.

In fact, Crohn’s disease patients must remain on the antibiotics permanently, and these antibiotics puts patients at risk of colitis, which must then be treated with another antibiotic.

For these reasons, the better approach may be to find out whether you have the PTPN2/22 gene mutation, and to then steer clear of milk and beef.

The problem with MAP is that, unlike other bacteria, it is heat resistant and not killed by cooking, pasteurization, and other common food processing methods.

Completely Reverse Your Arthritis - Eliminating Arthritis Exhaustion (New Study)

As all people with arthritis can testify, their condition is not only painful and disabling, but also exhausting.

Fatigue is an aspect of arthritis that is not commonly discussed or treated, but it is very real.

In a new edition of the journal Arthritis Care & Research, a research team put a simple method to the test and the results on arthritis fatigue were breathtaking.

Best of all, this method is so simple you can start today, and it doesn’t cost you a dime.

They recruited 96 arthritis patients and split them into three groups:

1. One that received standard educational material on arthritis fatigue.

2. A second that received a pedometer and a step-monitoring diary to complete.

3. A third that received a pedometer, a step-monitoring diary to complete, and step targets to meet.

They were monitored for 21 weeks so that the scientists could compare their activity and fatigue levels from before and from after the study.

The researchers were mostly interested in their self-reported fatigue levels, but also asked them to report their disease activity, physical function, pain, and depression.

This is what they found:

1. The education material group decreased their daily steps by 747 steps and their fatigue dropped by 1.6 points on the fatigue questionnaire.

2. The pedometer and step-monitoring group increased their daily steps by 1,441 steps and their fatigue dropped by 3.2 points on the fatigue questionnaire.

3. The pedometer, step-monitoring, and step target group increased their daily steps by 1,656 steps and their fatigue dropped by 4.8 points on the fatigue questionnaire.

Therefore, the group that set itself step targets and monitored their daily steps experienced the largest drop in arthritis-related fatigue.

The latter two groups also reported an improvement in physical functioning and disease activity.

Pedometers are widely available and inexpensive, and you can compile your own step monitoring diaries and set your own step targets.

What is the Best Way to Fight Arthritis and Join Pain?

Fight Arthritis and Join Pain - Strange Cholesterol and Arthritis Connection Discovered. Fight Arthritis and Join Pain - This Type of Arthritis is No Barrier to Physical Exercise

Knee arthritis is no fun.

It makes walking, bending and straightening more painful, sometimes to the point where sufferers simply stop moving around.

Luckily, a new study in the journal Arthritis Care & Research shows that we shouldn’t necessarily hang up our walking shoes just because we develop knee osteoarthritis.

Researchers studied 59 people with a diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis: 48 women and 11 men. Most of them were in their mid-fifties and sixties, and their average age was 61.1 years.

The researchers didn’t look at people who were using walking aids or who had surgery, which means that those with severe knee arthritis were likely excluded.

To assess their pain levels, they completed two questionnaires every three months or so: the pain subscale of the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score questionnaire and the P4 pain scale.

They also wore accelerometers for one week every three months to measure their daily number of steps.

By the end of the three years, it became clear that pain did not predict how far these people were willing to walk. Those with mild and moderate pain walked the same distance as those who were pain-free.

So why the difference?

It turned out that other factors were influencing how far people were willing to walk. The oldest and heaviest participants did less exercise than the younger and thinner ones, and everyone exercised more during the summer than during the other seasons, especially during the winter, which is what you might expect.

The study showed that pain does not seem to put people off walking as much as things like being overweight does. So, for arthritis patients, it might be better to help them to concentrate on food education and meal planning, so they can lose weight and make exercise more comfortable.

And not only that but helping them to find enjoyable indoor exercises during the winter months could also help them to reap the rewards of exercise.

Fight Arthritis and Join Pain - Arthritis Reversed with This Cheap Baking Ingredient

Arthritis is partly caused by an overactive immune system that uses inflammation to attack your joints, which it mistakenly identifies as a threat.

Even in osteoarthritis, your immune system is responsible for the inflammation in your joints.

A new study in the Journal of Immunology has now shown that one common baking ingredient combats this unnecessary immune system response and can thereby reverse inflammatory joint conditions.

Researchers from Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University first tested baking soda on rats and then on humans, showing that it signalled to your mesothelial cells that your body is healthy and not under attack, which then curbs your immune system’s response.

This is how it works.

Throughout your body, there are mesothelial cells that line cavities, like your digestive tract, which covers some of your internal organs to prevent them from bumping into each other.

These cells have sensors, called microvilli, which watch for and detect potential threats like bacterial infections. When they sense a threat, they tell the organs they cover to mount an immune system response.

When you drink baking soda, on the other hand, the mesothelial cells that surround your spleen sends the opposite message.

Your spleen is an important factor in your immune system, so when its mesothelial cells tell it that there is no threat present, it refrains from launching the immune cells that trigger inflammation.

There are two types of immune system cells, or macrophages, with one type being pro-inflammatory and the other type being anti-inflammatory.

After the rats and humans drank water with baking soda for two weeks, scientists tested the cells in their spleens, kidneys, and blood, and found that there were suddenly a lot more anti-inflammatory than pro-inflammatory macrophages.

After drinking baking soda, the rats’ systems switched from pro-inflammatory to anti-inflammatory and sustained this change for three days.

In humans, the change towards anti-inflammatory cells lasted for four hours.

When they removed the rats’ spleens, this entire mechanism was lost.
The authors promoted this as a potentially healthy and natural way to combat arthritis and other autoimmune diseases, as it does not turn the biological mechanism on and off, but simply nudges the balance of your immune system from one side to the other.

Baking soda is just another name for sodium bicarbonate or bicarbonate of soda, and it is not the same as baking powder.

In addition to containing baking soda, baking powder also includes an acidic substance and a flour to mop up moisture. Thus, baking soda is healthier to drink.

Fight Arthritis and Join Pain - Strange Cholesterol and Arthritis Connection Discovered

Osteoarthritis has traditionally been understood as a condition of age-related or weight-related joint wear and tear.

But a new a new study from Madrid in Spain and published in the journal Arthritis Research and Therapy reveals another factor. One that’s very easy to control.

And this may lead to a simple cure for arthritis.

They used 36 rabbits of which 20 received a normal diet and 16 a high-fat diet.

They then induced osteoarthritis in 20 rabbits, 10 from each dietary group.

Unsurprisingly, the rabbits fed the high-fat diet had high cholesterol, fat (triglycerides), and C-reactive protein, an indication of high inflammation. This was absent from the rabbits on the normal diet.

12 weeks after inducing the arthritis, they compared the joints of the four groups.

Compared with the normal dieters with arthritis, the arthritic high-fat dieters had much higher inflammation in the connective tissue in their joints called Synovial Membranes and had a lot less connective tissue in their joints.

This is also the case for the high-fat dieters without arthritis compared with their non-arthritic peers on normal diets.

This seems to suggest that high-fat dieting and high cholesterol puts rabbits, at least, at risk of osteoarthritis and that it worsens osteoarthritis that is already present.

If this is also the case for humans, it suggests that you can reduce your risk of this painful disease or moderate its symptoms by modifying your diet.
