Treat Joint Pain Naturally - Most Comfy Way to Cure Arthritis

Suffering arthritis?

Forget dangerous medications.

Forget diet changes and exercises.

A new study published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine shows you the one effortless, pleasant thing you need to do in order to feel your stiffness and pain melt away in 60 minutes.

The researchers recruited 222 adults with knee osteoarthritis. 200 of them stuck around to be assessed after eight weeks, and 175 hung around for the full duration of the study of 52 weeks.

They split their participants into three groups:

– one that received a weekly 60-minute Swedish massage,
– one that received a weekly 60-minute session of light touching,
– one that received no extra treatment.

This continued for eight weeks and then they were re-divided into two groups:

– one that received the 60-minute massage every two weeks,
– one that received a 60-minute light touching session every two weeks.

Participants were assessed every eight weeks and at the end of the study using the most common measurement of arthritis, which is called the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index (WOMAC).

The WOMAC measures pain, stiffness, and joint function, such as walking and climbing of stairs.

They also gave them a pain questionnaire, the PROMIS Pain Interference scale, a knee range of motion test, and a timed 50-ft walk.

After eight weeks, they found that there was significant improvement in all the measurements in the massage group, while the other two groups did not improve.

By the end of 52 weeks, the massage group maintained the improvements they experienced at eight weeks, but there was no further benefit that to be found beyond that.

As such, massages will definitely help improve arthritis but it needs to be continually administered every week or every other week to be beneficial.

However, if you want to heal your arthritis, you need to take these further 3-steps that are explained here…

Treat Joint Pain Naturally - This Spice Improves Arthritis Better than Drugs

The traditional medical system will tell you there is no cure for arthritis. But that doesn’t stop them from pushing pain relievers and steroid drugs onto you.

However, one specific type of spice has been found in repeated studies to be as, or more effective, than the leading drugs for arthritis – without any of the known side effects.

Turmeric, a bright golden-yellow spice that forms the basis of many curry blends, may be as healthy as it is tasty.

Curcumin, one of turmeric’s main compounds and the one that lends the spice its color, also provides many of the spice’s beneficial properties.

Curcumin has been found to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

In addition to curcumin, turmeric contains other compounds of interest. Turmeric and its active compounds have been widely studied as a potential treatment and for application as a preventive agent for a wide range of diseases and health conditions, including some forms of arthritis.

Long used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to treat inflammatory conditions of all kinds, science has attributed some of turmeric’s anecdotal benefits to the ability of curcumin to inhibit proliferation of inflammatory cells and its ability keep them from invading other tissues.

Curcumin also inhibits pro-inflammatory signalling molecules. According to one particular study, curcumin might be more effective than low doses of steroid drug prednisone in controlling inflammation in its early stages.

In the animal-tested laboratory experiment, curcumin surpassed prednisone in the first 6 hours after a flare-up.

A clinical trial of patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) found turmeric to as effective as ibuprofen. Turmeric markedly decreased pain and stiffness, with 96% of participants reporting satisfaction with the herbal treatment.

Additionally, the turmeric group reported significantly fewer episodes of abdominal discomfort when compared to the ibuprofen group.

Because curcumin is poorly absorbed in the intestinal tract, large doses are required in order to achieve therapeutic effects. To mitigate this problem, efforts have been made to devise methods for making curcumin more absorbable.

In one such experiment, Nano emulsions – tiny particles of curcumin suspended in an oil base – were administered to laboratory animals. Researchers found that absorption of the nanoparticles was three times greater when compared to that of non-emulsified curcumin.

In another arm of the same experiment, researchers injected curcumin directly into RA-affected joints and found the herbal compound to be on par with methotrexate, a prescription drug commonly used for the treatment of RA. However, unlike the herb, the drug is fraught with a host of potentially dangerous adverse effects and hazardous drug interactions.

Curcumin may thus offer a safe, natural alternative to Cox-2 inhibiting drugs, many of which were removed from the market years ago due to their often-severe side effects.

In one clinical trial, patients with osteoarthritis were given 30 mg doses of curcumin 3 times per day or 25 mg of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug diclofenac in three daily doses. Results showed the two therapies were similarly effective, with curcumin being marginally better.

Water-soluble, polysaccharide compounds in turmeric were found to be effective for both acute and chronic stages of inflammation in the laboratory experiments. One study found the compounds to be comparable to those of curcumin, while another found potent inhibitory effects against inflammation signalling molecules.

A turmeric essential oil called elemene might help in the management of ankylosing spondylitis, a form of degenerating arthritis in which the spinal, and other joints, progressively fuse, according to one study.

In the study, ankylosing spondylitis patients, who were undergoing hip replacement surgery, donated their affected hips for the experiment.

Scientists treated the affected joint tissues with elemene and found evidence of decreased ankylosing spondylitis-affected cells after 48 hours.

Treat Joint Pain Naturally - Mysterious Sleep Apnea and Gout Connection

Scientists from Keele University, Newcastle University, and Massachusetts General Hospital have just written an article that proposes that sleep apnea may cause gout.

Gout is a type of arthritis that involves inflammation, pain, swelling, and redness of the joints. It develops much faster than other types of arthritis and can hit its peak on the first day.

It can also involve the risk of kidney stones and reduced kidney function.

The authors of the new study, which was published in Arthritis & Rheumatology, already stated the known fact that sleep apnea had the tendency to cause inflammation and gout in the short term, but they wanted to know whether it leads to occurrences over the long term as well.

They identified 15,879 people with sleep apnea and 63,296 people that didn’t suffer from I, from the UK Clinical Practice Research Datalink database.

Sleep apnea sufferers that were diagnosed with sleep apnea between 1990 and 2010 were followed for an average of 5.8 years after diagnosis to check whether they developed gout as well.

They concluded that 4.9% of sleep apnea sufferers and 2.6% of non-sufferers developed gout.

This means that sleep apnea patients were 42% more likely to develop gout than good sleepers.

From previous studies, the authors speculated that the strongest mechanism behind this phenomenon was in the over- production of uric acid, which was caused by oxygen deficiency.

And if you suffer from gout or any other types of arthritis, follow the 3 steps found here to reverse it in 21 days or less…

This post is from the Arthritis Strategy Program. It was created by Shelly Manning, a former arthritis sufferer and a health consultant.

A Brief Background on the Author

Like you, Shelly Manning also suffered from arthritis, particularly osteoarthritis. This was due to her weight and desk job. Her condition eventually took a toll on her relationship with her (former) husband.

It was when she went to Hong Kong that she met Janerdquo, an old woman who owned the restaurant where she ate. Janerdquo supposedly offered her a bowl of a weird-smelling soup, which helped ease her joint pain. She ate there each day for 10 days until she was completely healed from arthritis.

Shelly Manning decided to research this natural remedy and to create a step-by-step treatment plan to others who are suffering from different types of arthritis, such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and psoriatic arthritis.

That’s why she created “The Arthritis Step By Step Strategy.” According to her claims, this unique strategy will get rid of joint pain and stiffness, repair your damaged joints, and treat the underlying cause of your arthritis.

Shelly teamed up with Christian Goodman, the owner of Blue Heron Health News, a publishing company that aims to help people to take responsibility for their own health by using natural health alternatives to treat joint pain naturally.

Get Hard Fast Without Pills - Does The Cause of ED Lie In Your Bowels?

The journal Inflammatory Bowel Diseases has just published a survey of previously published research which draws a conclusion that might surprise many who suffer from ED.

Astonishingly, nobody has ever researched this connection in detail, despite the fact that researchers found a 41 percent connection between ED and this bowel issue.

Past studies that reported that people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) were more likely to have ED than the healthy population.

In response, they searched through the literature and found eight studies that investigated this relationship.

Altogether, the studies had 351,668 male subjects with an average age ranging between 34 and 52 years old.

Men with IBD ended up being 41 percent more likely to have ED than men without it.

The risk was especially high for men below the age of 50.

No one has investigated why this association exists, and the authors of this new study stated that there were probably many different factors involved. Some of these include:

Firstly, abnormal channels can develop links between their inflamed intestines and surrounding organs, including their sex organs. This can cause pelvic floor disorders that make erections impossible.

Secondly, many people with IBD experience abdominal pain or fever, and many are simply too tired for sex.

Thirdly, many people with IBD need to visit the bathroom often and struggle with incontinence and diarrhea, two fears that can ruin the mood.
Fourthly, many doctors prescribe cortisone or other anti-inflammatory medications, and these might have sexual dysfunction as a side effect.

Many people with IBD suffer from body image issues; some due to being overweight, and others simply because they entered puberty later than their peers did and thus suffer from psychological damage because of that.

At this stage, researchers are not entirely sure what causes IBD, but think that genetic factors might be the most to blame.

Get Hard Fast Without Pills - 8 Foods that Heal ED and Boost Mens Function

Suffering ED can seem quite hopeless at time when these “involuntary” muscles just stop working like they should.

And even the blue pill only helps minority of men and comes with loads of side effects.

But several studies have proven that ED can be completely healed using nothing but a few types of food found in most homes.

Here are 8 types of food that fight ED naturally:

1. The most important dietary advice is to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains while reducing your intake of red meat and processed grains. This is because ED often stems from cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure, all of which are less common in people on healthy, nutrient-rich diets. Scientists found exactly this pattern in participants to the Massachusetts Male Aging Study, as reported in a 1994 edition of the Journal of Urology.
2. A diet rich in pistachios can, according to a 2011 study in the International Journal of Impotence Research, reduce your cholesterol and blood pressure levels and improve your sexual function scores. Pistachios contain the protein arginine, which your body converts to nitric oxide that, in turn, relaxes blood vessels and promotes blood flow.
3. Watermelon contains an amino acid called L-citrulline that a 2011 study in the journal Urology has concluded can improve blood flow to the penis to enhance your erection.
4. Flavonoids are fashionable these days, and for good reason. A recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that men who eat the most anthocyanins (in blueberries, cherries, blackberries, blackcurrant, and radishes), and flavanones and flavones (in citrus fruit) have a 14% lower risk of ED than their peers.
5. Zinc, for which the best source is probably oysters, is great at improving your testosterone scores, and thereby your sexual function. In a 1996 study in the journal Nutrition, researchers showed that men with a zinc deficiency were more likely to have low testosterone than the rest of the population had, and that an increase in zinc consumption in older men doubled their testosterone scores.
6. Coffee, because of the caffeine it contains, can reduce ED, according to a 2015 study in the journal PLOS. These researchers analyzed data from 3,724 men and found that those who consumed 85 to 303 milligrams of caffeine per day were less likely to have ED than those who consumed less. That means approximately two to three eight-ounce (237 milliliter) cups of coffee per day.
7. Lycopene, a substance found in abundance in tomatoes and grapefruit, can ameliorate ED in diabetic rats, according to a study in the journal Pharmazie. Try it to discover whether it works for humans too!
8. Beet juice. While no studies have been done on it directly, there are reasons to suspect that it might work. Beet juice contains plenty of nitrates, which your body converts to nitric oxide which, according to a study in Pharmacology & Therapeutics, relaxes and opens your blood vessels for bloodflow.

Load your diet with enough of all these foods to get hard fast without pills, keep your general lifestyle as healthy as possible, and enjoy the benefits.

Get Hard Fast Without Pills - Shock Your ED Away (shocking cure)

This non-invasive therapy has already been used in many countries to relieve chronic pain, interrupt muscle spasms, heal tendon injuries, improve non-healing bone fractures, treat inflammation, break up kidney and gallstones and so forth.

However, a new study by Chinese scientists at Beijing’s Jishuitan Hospital now shows it also heals ED in men.

Shockwave therapy involves a device that creates pulses of mechanical energy. A pad is then placed on your skin that transmits these pulses to your body.

Since it has already been approved in many countries (outside the United States) for the treatment of ED, Chinese researchers decided to conduct a review of the existing scientific literature to find out whether it was effective.

They found 9 studies with 637 participants between 2005 and 2017.

In general, these studies concluded that shockwave therapy improved sexual function, if the pulses were relatively slow and low in energy (0.09 mj/mm2, 3,000 pulses per treatment) and the treatment continued for no more than six weeks.

American researchers published a similar literature review in the Journal of Sexual Medicine earlier in 2017 in which they considered 7 already published studies with 602 male participants.

According to their review, the treatment improved the ED sufferer’s score on the Index of Erectile Function by around 6.4 points.

While shocks to your penis don’t sound like fun, the treatment is painless. Doctors apply ultrasound gel to the area to transmit the pulses, everyone in the room wears ear protection against the loud pulses and the treatment is otherwise low-risk and simple to apply.

Now if this sounds unappealing to you or is not available in your area, do not despair.

What is the Best Way to Maintain Good Cholesterol Levels?

Can this Candy Help You to Maintain Good Cholesterol Levels? Eating candy has seldom been associated with a lowering of cholesterol levels. However, a new study published in the latest British Journal of Nutrition has proven that one candy is extremely effective to lower cholesterol.

Can this Diet Help You to Maintain Good Cholesterol Levels?

The Best Diet for Cholesterol Discovered

While there are countless different diets, they can be roughly divided into two types:

– a continuous calorie restricted diet and
– an intermittent fasting diet in which the dieter alternates between extremely low food intake days and higher intake days.

So, which one is better for lowering your cholesterol level?

A new study, published in the journal Obesity, put these two types of diets to a head-on test and found a clear winner.

The Australian researchers recruited 88 women who were all overweight or obese, with an average body-mass index of 32.3 kg/m2.

They divided them into four groups.

Group one did not diet at all, eating the same amount every day to meet 100 percent of their daily energy needs.

Group two ate the same amount every day, but ate only 70 percent of their daily energy needs. This is what most of us mean by the word “dieting”.

Group three followed an intermittent diet with an intake of 100 percent of their daily energy needs during the eating 24 hours and took to complete starvation during the 24 hours.

Group four followed an intermittent diet with an intake of 70 percent of their daily energy needs during the eating 24 hours and took to complete starvation during the 24 hours meant for fasting.

The latter two ate normally every other day and then fasted for every other day.

The dieters continued with their diets for eight weeks and the diets were carefully matched to contain the same macronutrients: 35 percent fat, 15 percent protein, and 50 percent carbohydrate.

Both at the beginning of the study and after eight weeks, the scientists measured their insulin sensitivity, their blood composition, their weight, and their body composition.

Groups two and three yielded approximately the same results and were healthier and leaner than group one after the eight weeks. In fact, since group one did not diet at all, we can forget about them from this point onwards.

Group four was the healthiest and managed to lose the most weight.
More importantly, they had lower total and LDL (bad) cholesterol scores, as well as lower free fatty acids when compared to the other groups.

Groups two and three lost approximately the same amount of weight, but the former displayed slightly healthier cholesterol and other cardiovascular markers.

How to Maintain Good Cholesterol Levels to Prevent Heart Attack?

When Good Cholesterol Causes Heart Attack

In the old days, doctors measured overall cholesterol and tried to lower that number.

Nowadays, you’re told to lower your LDL (bad) cholesterol and boost your HDL (good) cholesterol.

They are even making drugs to raise HDL.

But this may actually not be the right recommendation at all.

According to a new study presented at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2018, HDL could be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

In the study that has yet to be published, American researchers have examined the association between HDL cholesterol and the likelihood of having a heart attack and might lead to death.

They used 5,965 people that had an average age of 63, most of whom had cardiovascular disease or risk factors that could lead to it.

During a four-year follow-up period, 13% of the subjects had a heart attack or died of some other cardiovascular event.

Thus, to discover the role of HDL, the researchers divided them into five groups, from those with the lowest to highest HDL scores: less than 30 mg/dl, 31-40 mg/dl, 41-50 mg/dl, 51-60 mg/dl, and greater than 60 mg/dl.

Those subjects with HDL levels between 41 and 60 mg/dl were the least likely to suffer a heart attack or die from a cardiovascular event.

While it was expected and unsurprising that people with lower HDL levels had a higher risk of these events, the scientists found that people with HDL above 60 mg/dl were 50% more likely than the 41-60 mg/dl groups to have heart attacks or to die of cardiovascular-related causes.

In other words, your HDL cholesterol should be neither too low nor too high.

The scientists could not explain as to why this was the case, but they speculated that such levels of HDL cholesterol high levels could actually be the symptom of a dysfunctional cholesterol profile.

Scientists have also previously found that there were different types of HDL cholesterol, and that only some of these types were considered healthy.

Consequently, it is possible that very high HDL levels consisted of unhealthy HDL types rather than the healthy ones.

The only reliable measurement was to look at the cholesterol plaque buildup in your arteries, which was the plaque that blocked the blood flow and led to strokes and heart attack.

Can this Candy Help You to Maintain Good Cholesterol Levels?

To Lower Cholesterol, Binge On This Candy

Eating candy has seldom been associated with a lowering of cholesterol levels.

However, a new study published in the latest British Journal of Nutrition has proven that one candy is extremely effective to lower cholesterol.

And this comes on top of other studies that further attests to this delicious candy effectiveness in lowering blood pressure, improving type 2 diabetes, and helping with numerous other health issues.

Dark chocolate is a sweet that is a particularly rich source of magnesium and this new study has shown that magnesium can help you to maintain a healthy cholesterol profile.

Chinese researchers decided to study the effects of magnesium on cholesterol in different groups of people, including those with type 2 diabetes, those who were obese, and those who were relatively healthy.

They used the information of 8,163 adults that was obtained from the China Health and Nutrition Survey.

Blood samples were taken throughout the study for the measuring of magnesium circulation, and the subjects were divided into groups with low, medium, and high magnesium counts.

They found that those with the least magnesium in their blood streams had the highest level of LDL cholesterol, something that was sometimes referred to as bad cholesterol.

In addition, with the exception of healthy HDL cholesterol, they also had the highest amount of other fats present in their blood.

In other words, the more magnesium present in their bodies, the lower their harmful cholesterol scores.

Predictably, those with type II diabetes and obesity had much higher levels of cholesterol when compared to those that did not have these two conditions.

When they considered the influence of magnesium on cholesterol in people with type 2 diabetes and obesity, they found that magnesium was unable to save diabetics from high cholesterol.

This was still effective in lowering the cholesterol of people who were obese.

Improve Joint Health - Easy (Free) Arthritis Home Test

It costs a lot of money and hassle to go for an MRI to monitor the onset and progress of arthritis.

So, a new study published the journal Arthritis & Rheumatology comes as a heaven sent for anyone concerned about this disease.

You can perform this test right now, right where you’re sitting.

Slide your fingertips across the full length of the fingers on your opposing hand. Do you feel any bony enlargements of your finger joints that were not there when you’re younger.

Medical scientists call them Heberden’s nodes and they are very typical hallmarks of osteoarthritis.

Since they indicate osteoarthritis of the finger joints and as they are so easily visible, researchers wondered whether they could be used to indicate the presence of osteoarthritis in other joints too.

To find out, a team of scientists recruited 575 participants from the Foundation for the National Institute of Health project.

They subjected their participants to a detailed examination of the finger joints to check for Heberden’s nodes. At the same time, they performed an MRI scan on the subject’s knees.

395 of their subjects had Heberden’s nodes and 188 did not.

People with Heberden’s nodes were more likely to have knee arthritis than those without them.

24 months later, they repeated the knee MRI scan to check whether their knee arthritis had progressed structurally.

Accordingly, those with Heberden’s nodes experienced more thickening of the bones surrounding their knee joints indicated that their arthritis was progressing.

This means that you and your doctors can use your fingers to predict knee arthritis and probably other types of arthritis.

This is not only a cheaper and more convenient method than MRIs but can also help to indicate that you must start taking action to cope with arthritis even before you start experiencing any pain.

So, if you feel heberden’s nodes on your fingers, regardless of whether you have been diagnosed with arthritis, you should click here to learn the 3 steps to reverse arthritis in 21 days or less…

Improve Joint Health - This Alcohol Causes Arthritis, While Another One Cures It

Like many people, you might be heeding the widely touted advice to consume moderate amounts of red wine for the sake of your heart.
But can alcohol affect arthritis?

As it turns out, what types of alcoholic beverages you choose to imbibe can, indeed, influence your joint health.

Moreover, scientists are finding these associations to be both beneficial and detrimental, between the types of alcoholic beverages and particular forms of arthritis.

Today, we’ll discuss three types of arthritis and how a different type of alcohol affects them. The types are Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, and Osteoarthritis.

Grapes are famous for their high levels of resveratrol, a potent antioxidant thought to help prevent heart disease and certain forms of cancer. As it turns out, resveratrol might also help to improve joint health.

In a preliminary study on mice, resveratrol inhibited two types of white blood cells associated with RA. The mice also showed lower levels of inflammation and less bone erosion.

A compound in grapes, known as Gallic acid, is a type of phenolic antioxidant that has the power to cut inflammation off at the knees, according to results of one study.

Researchers say it does this by inhibiting the expression of pro-inflammatory genes. They also note that Gallic acid promotes an early death of certain joint cells when they begin to behave badly in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients.

When rheumatoid-affected cells were treated with Gallic acid, the cells weakened and died. Levels of inflammatory markers and tissue-degrading enzymes also decreased, following Gallic acid treatment.

The Nurse’s Health Study, a decades-long study involving more than 200,000 U.S. nurses, determined that moderate alcohol consumption could offer protection against RA.

Participants who tested positive for RA blood markers showed even greater benefits. Beer drinkers also fared well, with women from the study who recorded drinking beer 2-4 times per week showed a 31% decrease in the risk of developing the disease.

Gout

If you have gout or if you are prone to developing gout, you might want to avoid beer, according to the information published in the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.

The study, which questioned nearly 15,000 participants on their beer, liquor, and wine consumption and compared the data with their uric acid levels, found that beer and hard liquor were associated with increased uric acid levels, with beer showing a greater detrimental effect. In contrast, wine consumption did not seem to increase uric acid levels.

Another study sought to clear up the anecdotal evidence that wine may act as a trigger for gout flare-ups and found that wine, beer, and liquor were all associated with an increased risk of gout attacks.

The risk was 1.36 times higher for moderate consumption – anything more than 1-2 drinks in a 24-hour period – and 1.51 times higher for more than 2-4 drinks in a 24-hour period.

So, if you suffer gout, you should just stay away from any type of alcohol.

Osteoarthritis

It’s not an autoimmune disease, like RA, or a metabolic problem, like in gout; rather, osteoarthritis (OA) is your garden-variety worn-out joint disease.

However, your alcohol drinking habits may also play a role as to whether you develop OA.

A study on the possible connection between alcohol consumption and OA of the knee and hip found that wine drinking actually provided protective effects while beer drinkers showed an increased risk, providing another good reason to eschew the trendy local microbrewery fare and, instead, explore the offerings at your favorite wine bar in your neighborhood.
