Leaky Gut and Food Sensitivities – 10 Tell Tale Signs of Food Intolerances

Leaky Gut and Food Sensitivities – Food sensitivities are the main cause of symptoms associated with leaky gut. Food sensitivities create a vicious cycle in that they help maintain the reason for their development (the leaky gut) while being the direct cause of the various symptoms suffered

Food Intolerances are a fast growing problem in today’s society, especially with Leaky Gut Syndrome. This is in large part because few people ever correlate their symptoms with their diet or the foods they eat. And in many cases, this is because it can take up to 48 to even 36 hours after ingestion before you develop any symptoms at all.

And just for clarification purposes, it should be noted that food intolerances differ from true food allergies by medical definition. The medical community only considers a true food allergy as an IgE mediated immune response which is best known for its immediate and severe reactions such as anaphylaxis, acute swelling, hives, etc.

Food intolerances on the other hand are oftentimes delayed and the symptomatic response is far less severe and oftentimes unrightfully ignored. However, as you continue to eat the foods that you are intolerant to then the continuous inflammation that is generated is enough to cause some significant damage within your body.

Food intolerances can occur due to…

  • Inability to produce the necessary chemical or enzyme required to digest the food
  • A reaction to naturally occurring chemicals in the food
  • A non-IgE mediated immune response

Below I’ve listed 10 signs or symptoms of food intolerances that you need to be aware of.

1. Gas and Bloating

There are a lot of causes of gas and bloating but this is too often overlooked. More often than not, it stems from the inability to properly digest the intolerant food. Then this undigested food can become food for unfriendly bacteria in your gut.

2. Nasal Congestion

This is one of the most overlooked reactions when it comes to food intolerances, largely because few people understand the link between the mucus production and your immune system.

3. Constipation or Diarrhea

This is another sign that can have many causes and in most cases, this can be tied directly to the dysbiosis that is created due to food intolerances.

4. Chronic Fatigue

Anytime you get sick and your immune system must work overtime, you experience fatigue. This is because your body is using your energy to support your immune system instead of your muscles.

To your body, food intolerances are no different than you getting sick.

5. Eczema, Skin Rashes, and Hives

Skin conditions are another very common sign that is most often related to histamine reactions from immune antibodies.

6. Mood Swings, Depression, Irritability

Have you ever eaten a meal only to find yourself in a foul mood not too long after for no reason whatsoever? It could be related to blood sugar instability but oftentimes it’s from eating foods that you are intolerant to.

7. Acid Reflux and Heartburn

Food intolerances such as gluten and dairy have also been shown to be common sources of acid refluxheartburn, and GERD.

8. Headaches and Migraines

Research is showing more and more cases of migraines being triggered by certain foods and food chemicals that are present is the vast majority of our food supply.

9. Joint and Muscle Pain

Joint and muscle pain is another common cause of histamine reactions within the body that drive inflammation to joints and muscle tissue.

10. Weight Gain

Food intolerances oftentimes lead to weight gain due to the chronic stress involved along with the damage and dysfunction caused to the digestive system.

Seasonal Allergies and Leaky Gut – How to Restore Gut Health

Seasonal Allergies and Leaky Gut - Do you suffer from seasonal allergies? Do you also suffer from any of the other leaky gut symptoms? You might be surprised to find how closely the two are related. Read on to find out more.

Is Leaky Gut Causing Your Seasonal Allergies?

Do you suffer from seasonal allergies? Do you also suffer from any of the other leaky gut symptoms? You might be surprised to find how closely the two are related.

Maybe you are like me. I never had allergies of any kind growing up. Come to think of it, I don’t remember anyone having them. But today, it seems like allergies plague almost everyone. You might think this is just a coincidence but I have to tell you that it is not.

It wasn’t until I had developed leaky gut that I even started to notice the development of seasonal allergies. I would get a cough, runny nose, and watery eyes during the change of seasons.

I never thought to question why because these symptoms were so common that they were generally accepted as no big deal. And symptoms that aren’t considered a major health risk tend to get swept under the rug.  But for me, things only went downhill from there. I started experiencing digestive problems along with skin problems like eczema.

I had no idea that this was all related to my gut and it wasn’t until I addressed the underlying problem that the reality of it really hit home. As soon I healed my gut, my allergies immediately disappeared and I haven’t dealt with them since.

The Leaky Gut Seasonal Allergy Link

When you suffer from increased intestinal permeability, undigested food particles, pathogens, toxins, and other harmful substances are able to actually pass through your intestinal lining and directly enter the bloodstream.

All of these substances are considered foreign invaders to the body which prompts your immune system to respond and combat the invaders. The big problem with this is that it is occurring continuously day and night without end.

Initially, your immune system does its job and fights off the foreign invaders. But after battling for a long time without rest, it quickly becomes overstressed and overactive.

It is this over-activity of the immune system that prompts it to erratically react to anything it comes into contact with. This includes all of the pollen, mold, and other allergens that are always in the air.

It is because your immune system is too busy defending you from your own leaky gut that it doesn’t have the time or ability to properly deal with these allergens. So you are left with seasonal allergies by reacting to any foreign airborne particles that you come into contact with.

All of these common airborne allergens have always existed and will always exist. So the days of blaming these allergens as the problem are over. It has little to nothing to do with them and everything to do with your gut health.

Seasonal allergies may not be a life threatening symptom but they are definitely trying to get your attention for a reason. They are really a way of your body telling you that something is not quite right. It’s time to start listening to these signs and use them to paint the bigger picture of your health.

If you continue to ignore them or mask them with the use of allergy medications, then your body will find another way to get your attention. And the next time it does, it will be with more extreme symptoms that won’t be as easy to dismiss. Do yourself a favor and get to the root of the problem by addressing your leaky gut.

Food Intolerance and Leaky Gut Syndrome – Do Food Allergies Go Away?

Food Intolerance and Leaky Gut Syndrome - Do Food Allergies Go Away? The answer is YES. Once you heal your gut, these food allergies that are associated with the leaky gut syndrome tend to disappear because they no longer present a problem to your immune system. After you heal your gut, you have to keep your gut healthy by eating wide range of high fiber plant-based foods, eat healthy fats and probiotics, avoid processed foods and antibiotics.

Click Here to Find Out How to Naturally and Permanently Cure Leaky Gut Syndrome

One of the biggest questions I get from my personal clients is whether or not their allergies to certain foods will ever go away or will they have to eat a special diet forever.

The short answer is NO, you won’t have to eat this way forever. But the long answer does get a little more complicated because not all food allergies are created equal. There are differences between genetic food allergies and intolerances of food allergies that are caused by leaky gut.

Leaky Gut Food Allergies

Leaky gut food allergies are immune reactions that you have due to the foods that are actually leaking through your intestinal wall and into your bloodstream where your immune system attacks it. And typically, these are the foods that you eat most often. This is because the more you eat a certain food, the more it leaks into your bloodstream, so the larger the defense that your immune system develops.

Once you heal your gut, these food allergies tend to disappear because they no longer present a problem to your immune system.

Genetic Food Allergies and Intolerance

There are also genetic food allergies and intolerances that can have a significant impact on your immune system, health, and chronic symptoms.

These food allergies and intolerances you cannot get rid of. Whenever you eat these foods, they will affect you negatively. But the good news is that if you maintain a healthy gut then you will actually minimize the effects of these foods if you ever do “accidentally” eat them once in a while.

But if you eat them regularly then the damage that they cause will most likely put you right back where you started.

The Bottom Line

I got an email from a young lady the other day. I’ll keep her information anonymous but she had a couple of questions related to leaky gut that really prove the very point I want to make.

She had been treated for leaky gut by a doctor many years back and her health and chronic symptoms disappeared. Then she went back to her normal life. But then, her symptoms began to come back some years later.

After telling me her story, she said to me, “I thought once you heal leaky gut it never comes back?”

But after healing her leaky gut, she went right back to the same exact diet and lifestyle that contributed to her leaky gut in the first place. What she didn’t understand was that once you heal leaky gut, you still have to keep your body healthy to keep it from coming back.

What you have to realize is that you are a product of your diet and lifestyle. Not only do you use the food that you eat for energy but you use the nutrients to replace the cells of your own body.

Science has shown that your body completely replaces all of its cells at least once every 7 years. So in a manner of speaking, there is a lot of truth to the saying “You Are What You Eat”.

So while you can go back to enjoying many of the foods that you were once allergic to after you heal your gut, there may very well be some genetic allergies that you are best to just avoid altogether.

And many of the common genetic allergies and intolerances are already provided for you in my free reports. And if you want to dive even further into this, then you’ll get all of the information you need in my Leaky Gut Cure program.

How to Manage Food Allergies Associated with Leaky Gut Syndrome?

How to manage food allergies associated with leaky gut syndrome? The solution is to determine your food allergies so you can eliminate those foods from your diet. There are a few ways such as food journaling, muscle testing, food allergy testing such as the mediator release test, avoid raw vegetables and diet rotation.

What Other Foods Are Causing Your Symptoms?

Most people who suffer from Leaky Gut Syndrome are already figuring out that many of the common food allergies such as wheat, dairy, and soy play a big role in the severity of their chronic symptoms.

And while removing these foods alone can oftentimes provide some significant relief there are typically many more food allergies that need to be addressed as well.

This is because as leaky gut develops, your intestinal lining loses its structure and holes or gaps develop that allow small particles of undigested food (as well as bacteria, pathogens, toxins, etc) to pass from your digestive tract and directly into your bloodstream.

And while in the bloodstream, your immune system does its part to fight off these invading food particles while building up antibodies for future encounters.

It’s these antibodies that your immune system stock piles that can make you allergic to a food that you eat. And in the case of leaky gut, since any food particle can pass through your intestinal walls, you can become allergic to any food that you eat.

The point I’m trying to make here is that you can and oftentimes do become allergic to the very foods that you eat most often.  In fact, I find the biggest problems are oftentimes with my clients who like to eat the same foods every single day.

Your immune system has no bias so it doesn’t matter if the food is healthy or not. So you can become allergic to chicken just as easily as carrots.

And this can create a big problem because how are you supposed to heal your gut when you could be reacting to so many foods that you eat. And no, the solution is not to starve yourself.

The solution is to determine your food allergies so you can eliminate those foods from your diet.

There are a few ways to do it and I’ve done them all myself.

Food Journaling

This technique involves writing down everything that you eat while noting any adverse reactions a half hour after you eat. Then you look for patterns over time.

And while food journaling can be extremely effective it does have drawbacks.

First of all, it can be daunting having to write everything down but once it becomes habit, it’s not too difficult. But the bigger drawback is that you’re looking for more immediate reactions and it’s well known that many food allergies are delayed and can take up to 48-36 hours before you fully react.

So oftentimes, if your food allergies are delayed then they can be difficult to pinpoint which can be quite frustrating.

Muscle Testing

One technique that I have found to work very well is the use of Applied Kinesiology or Muscle Testing. This is a fast, easy, and no cost technique that involves using muscle strength in response to various foods as an indicator of an immune reaction.

After I learned this technique and started using it my own practice, I found that I was getting great results. And because it’s so easy to do, I teach you how to do it in my Leaky Gut Cure program.

And there are lots of practitioners out there that are using this technique very effectively so if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself then you can always find a professional to do it for you.

As far as drawbacks are concerned, because muscle testing is subjective there will always be room for error. So you do need to be aware of what you are eating and watch for possible reactions.

But some people need more concrete evidence which is when I recommend the last option.

Food Allergy Testing

Food Allergy Testing via blood sample is the quick, easy, and concrete way to figure out which foods you are allergic to. This involves providing a blood sample and sending it to a lab who introduces various foods and analyzes it for immune reactions.

This is not the same as the skin prick test done by doctors for IgE antibody reactions. That test is only for severe allergies that are likely already known.

And there are various food allergy tests available and not all are created equal. One of the more common tests that you may have heard of is for IgG food allergies.

But you have to understand that there are many different immune antibodies outside of IgE or IgG which also come into play but are not measured by many of these tests.

This is why I use a test called the Mediator Release Test (MRT) which works in a different way. Instead of looking at individual immune antibodies it looks at the cumulative effect of all immune antibodies for much more accurate results.

If you’re interested in running the MRT Lab, you can contact me directly.

Eat This, Not That

Eat: Cooked vegetables that are easier to digest.

Not: Raw vegetables which can be difficult on the digestive tract and provide the body fewer nutrients.

MRT Test | How the Mediator Release Test Works

Bonus Tip – Rotation Diets

Rotation diets are a great way to reduce your body’s immune response to any given food allergy created by your leaky gut. By rotating the foods that you eat, you reduce the occurrence of these foods in your bloodstream and thus your immune reaction. This is any easy way to help control your chronic symptoms.

Both food allergy testing and rotation dieting are discussed in depth within the Leaky Gut Cure program.

What is the Best Way to Prevent and Reverse Osteoporosis?

What is the Best Way to Prevent and Reverse Osteoporosis? Is there a way to prevent osteoporosis? Yes, says a new study published in the journal JAMA Network Open. All you have to do is perform this simple activity. But it must be done sooner than later. Read on to find out more.

Prevent and Reverse Osteoporosis – This Activity Halts Osteoporosis

Is there a way to prevent osteoporosis?

Yes, says a new study published in the journal JAMA Network Open.

All you have to do is perform this simple activity.

But it must be done sooner than later.

Since bone strength in young adulthood is one of the main predictors of osteoporosis later, researchers have spent a lot of time trying to discover how to establish strong bones by age 25.

This is one of those studies you wish you had access to when you were a teenager.

As data, they used information obtained from the Occurs Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children in southwest England. These children were born in 1991 and 1992, and they managed to get complete information from 2,569 of them.

This information included physical activity scores collected at least once when they were 12, 14, 16, or 25, so the researchers could know whether they regularly engaged in light, moderate, or vigorous physical exercise.

To make the results more credible, the participants did not self-report their levels of exercise but wore accelerometers for a period of time, for which the researchers had to have at least four readings.

They then measured the bone mineral density of their participants’ hip bones or femur neck bones at age 25 to get a score for bone strength.

Hip fractures are the most serious and most expensive manifestations of osteoporosis, which is why the researchers concentrated their efforts there.

1. Those who had the strongest bones by age 25 were the same ones who engaged in the most moderate to vigorous physical exercise in adolescence, while those who engaged in only light physical exercise had lower bone strength.

2. The earlier the exercise, the better. Moderate to vigorous physical activity during adolescence contributed more to bone strength than the same activities in early adulthood, and the earlier the exercise done during adolescence, the better the bone strength was at 25.

3. High-impact activities, such as jumping, led to stronger hips by age 25 than low-impact activities.

But if you already suffer from osteoporosis, then this study is, of course, not going to be much help. However, it’s not too late to prevent and reverse osteoporosis. All you need are the small lifestyle changes explained here…

Prevent and Reverse Osteoporosis – Is Osteoporosis Caused by Your Status?

Osteoporosis is usually thought of as a disease of the elderly with strong genetic factors, but this is not entirely inaccurate.

But a new study that has just appeared in the journal PLOS ONE has now rung an alarm bell over the role that social status plays in this disease.

It is uncontroversial that poor and low-income groups struggle with food insecurities, and that this may make them vulnerable to certain diseases.

We unfortunately live in a world where the most affordable foods contain very few nutrients, while some of the healthiest and most nutrient-dense foods happen to be the most expensive. Go to your local supermarket and compare the prices of white bread and fruit, and you will understand the point immediately.

A team of researchers wondered whether osteoporosis was a condition that was more common among food-insecure people than in their wealthier counterparts and whether it can be prevented by promoting food security or at least supplements.

The two most important nutrients to prevent osteoporosis are calcium and vitamin D.

The researchers consulted data from the American National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2007–2010 and 2013–2014. Their eventual sample of 3,901 people were all aged 50 and up.

They examined these people’s food consumption and compared that with their household income, the Family Monthly Poverty Level Index, their level of food security, and participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or what some non-Americans may still think of as the food stamps program.

In general, all women above age 50 struggled with some level of calcium deficiency and their consumption of calcium could be improved, regardless of their level of income or food security.

But the effect of poverty could be seen clearly in men and in African Americans.

Low income levels increased the risk for osteoporosis in all men above age 50, because their calcium and vitamin D intake was too low.

Low-income non-Hispanic African American men had twice as high a risk of developing osteoporosis as their wealthier peers—58.9 percent of them had inadequate intake of calcium and 46.7 percent consumed too little vitamin D.

There was one exception, however. Male participants in the SNAP program had a sufficient intake of calcium and vitamin D to avoid osteoporosis.

The researchers accordingly recommended either that the SNAP program be expanded to provide more Americans with that level of food security, or that more elderly Americans be given access to calcium and vitamin D supplements.

Prevent and Reverse Osteoporosis – But the most important issue if you already suffer osteoporosis is how to heal it. And fortunately, that’s pretty easy to do using the simple lifestyle changes found here…

Prevent and Reverse Osteoporosis – Osteoporosis is Caused by This Common Condition

There have been lots of misconceptions about osteoporosis and its causes throughout the years. Lack of calcium in the diet is one of them.

A new study published in the Egyptian Journal of Hospital Medicine finally reveals a reliable cause.

In the past, studies on the relationship between bone mineral density and diabetes have been mixed, with some showing a relationship and others not.

In response, a team of Egyptian scientists decided to analyze the effect of diabetes on bone mineral density in Egypt.

Their subjects were 90 patients, 60 with diabetes, and 30 without, all patients in Zagazig University Hospitals. They were all between 40 and 70 years of age.

Since older people, females, and post-menopausal women are the most likely of all groups to develop osteoporosis, these factors were controlled to ensure that they did not unduly affect the findings.

They found that bone mineral density was significantly lower in diabetic patients than in the non-diabetic ones.

The occurrence of osteoporosis was higher among the diabetics and osteopenia, a condition of low bone mineral density that is the precursor to osteoporosis, was also higher in the diabetics.

They matched each diabetic patient with a non-diabetic one of the same age and gender to ensure that it was diabetes that increased their likelihood of low bone mineral density.

Predictably, they discovered that osteopenia and osteoporosis were most common in diabetic postmenopausal women.

Luckily, diabetes is a modifiable risk factor that you can prevent through an appropriate diet and exercise program. Here are the three-step programs I recommend…

But you can prevent and reverse osteoporosis using simple lifestyle changes. And it’s not about eating more calcium, as I explain here…

This post is from the Bone Density Solution created by Shelly Manning, This Bone Density Solution program for osteoporosis contains all the mandatory aspects of lifestyle that are needed to be taken care of. This program contains all the information on how changing food and lifestyle can cure us of this painfully chronic disease, which makes us vulnerable for a lifetime.

The Bone Density Solution program includes the information that how inflammation markers in the body cause a decline in the formation of new bones. It explains how gut leaching causes inflammatory agents to chase behind the sensitive food particles, thus leading to their gradual accumulation inside the body. These stored inflammatory agents hamper the bone renewing system.

Therefore, it is important that we know which food we are sensitive to as per our body type. You may be reckoning that it is really tough to figure out what to eat and what not as you are not any food expert. But, The Bone Density Solution book gives all the information about the food and its replacement. It also includes easy activities to change your sedentary lifestyle and vanish osteoporosis. These can easily be performed by patients without getting worried about new fractures.
