Reversing Heart Aging in 24 Hours

Age is the single greatest risk factor for diseases. And that is why young people tend to be healthier than older ones.

Older blood vessels are more likely to be damaged than younger ones, which is why older people are at a higher risk of getting a heart attack or stroke.

However, a new study from Georgia State University, which was published in the journal Molecular Cell, revealed a simple method to reverse this known aging of the arteries in less than 24 hours.

Best of all, this method is as simple as can be and doesn’t cost a penny (on the contrary, it actually saves you money).

The scientist used two types of study: one with mice and another on blood vessel cells inside a dish in the laboratory.

They found that during periods of fasting, our bodies produce a molecule called beta-Hydroxybutyrate. Our livers produce this molecule from fatty acids when there are no carbohydrates available to be used as energy.

This happens during periods of prolonged and extreme exercise, fasting, or carbohydrate restrictions.

They then found out that beta-Hydroxybutyrate could delay the aging of endothelial cells, cells which form the interior linings of our blood vessels.
They even discovered how this worked.

One of the mechanisms through which cells aged is cell division. The inclusion of Beta-Hydroxybutyrate is thus able to delay cell division and thereby delay cell aging.

Moreover, when beta-Hydroxybutyrate binds to a certain protein, it increases a stem cell factor that could prevent cell aging caused by DNA damage.

Sadly, scientists now want to use this knowledge to produce a drug of an artificial version of this molecule that will probably include plenty of side effects.

However, the natural and healthier way to do this is would be to introduce fasting periods to your diet.

You can either fast for 24 hours once a week, or cut carbohydrates from your diet for two or three days a week. The choice is yours.

Alternatively, have an intense exercise session after not consuming carbohydrates for 12 to 18 hours.

That being said, an even easier way to heal your heart would be to cut this ONE ingredient you didn’t even know you were consuming out of your diet…

And if your blood pressure is too high, discover how 3 easy exercises can normalize it in as little as 9 minutes…

Researchers wanted to know whether people who ate a large amount of omega-3 oils were less likely to die early when compared to the rest of the population, and what exactly were the early causes of death that these people managed to dodge.

They used information collected by the Diet and Health Study, which was conducted by the National Institutes of Health and AARP.

This information included the results of a Diet History Questionnaire for 240,729 men and 180,580 women. These subjects were then observed for 16 years to see who died and the cause behind their deaths.

Male fish eaters were 15% and female fish eaters were 18% less likely to have cardiovascular disease when compared to their peers, showing that omega-3 oil is definitely beneficial for your heart.

Compared to their peers, men and women who consumed fish were 9% and 8% less likely to die early, respectively.

When considering specific causes of death, male fish consumers were 10% less likely to die of cardiovascular disease when compared to their peers, 6% less likely to die of cancer, 20% less likely to die of respiratory tract disease, and 37% less likely to die of chronic liver diseases.

Compared with women who consumed little or no fish, female fish consumers enjoyed 10% lower cardiovascular disease mortality, 6% lower cancer mortality, and 38% lower Alzheimer’s disease mortality.

Therefore, adding plenty of fish to your diet can be good for heart health. Otherwise, load up on good nuts and vegetables that are high in omega-3 fats.

If your cholesterol is too high, this alone may not be enough to get it under control.

To normalize your cholesterol within a month, cut out this one mysterious ingredient that you didn’t even know you were consuming…

This Skin Issue Links to Increased Risk of Heart Attack and Stroke

A new study reveals how this small skin issue drastically raises your risk of heart attack and stroke as well as other cardiovascular diseases. Ironically, it may be more serious, the better your apparent cardiovascular health is. Korean scientists used the database of the National Health Insurance Service to follow 519,880 people for a period of 10 years. During this time, they discovered 23,233 new cases of shingles. They found that shingles raised the risk of stroke by 35%, heart attack by 59% and overall cardiovascular diseases by 41%.

You’ll probably find it ugly and irritating but it’s most often considered harmless and disappears quickly, never to return.

Not so fast though!

Shingles Links to Increased Risk of Heart Attack and Stroke

Because a new study reveals how this small skin issue drastically raises your risk of heart attack and stroke as well as other cardiovascular diseases.

Risk of Heart Attack and Stroke Initially High Then Reduces Over Time

The risk of heart attack and stroke was highest during the first year of shingles diagnosis and gradually decreased over time.

The risk of heart attack after a shingles diagnosis dropped from a 1.7-fold increase in risk in the first week, to a 1.3-fold increase in risk two to four weeks after the diagnosis, to a 1.1-fold increase in risk five to 12 weeks after the diagnosis. Again, by week 27, the risk returned to baseline.

This increased risk of heart attack and stroke is likely due to the biological effects of a shingles infection.

For example, inflammation from having shingles could lead to a blood clot, which in turn could cause a stroke or heart attack, according to the study.

Shingles may also bring on incidents of elevated blood pressure, due to pain or stress associated with the disease, according to the study.

Interestingly, the shingles-related stroke risk was highest for people under 40 years, the group with the best cardiovascular indicators like blood pressure and cholesterol. This suggests something other than the usual mechanisms might be responsible for the strokes.

But why do people get shingles?

Shingles occur in people who had chickenpox as a child when the virus gets reactivated for some unexplained reason. Most often at an older age.

Typically, decades later, when a person who had chickenpox has some dip in immune resistance, the virus travels along a sensory nerve to the skin, where it can replicate and cause painful, burning rashes and blisters.

The nerve inflammation it causes can persist for weeks and even months, and for an unlucky few, the resulting nerve damage can bring unrelenting pain.

It's been known that when the shingles virus travels along the ophthalmic branch of the trigeminal nerve in the face, and affects the area surrounding an eye, the patient has a nearly five-fold risk of heart attack and stroke in the year following.

Because we don’t know why this happens, the only thing you can do to avoid shingles is to strengthen your immune system to fight the virus immediately as it gets reactivated before it flares up to your skin.

But shingles are of course not the most common cause of stroke and heart attack. The most important thing is to focus on…
